Nice, charming, affordable place to explore the Medoc

Chateau Meyre is a charming place to stay for a couple of nights. The room in the annex was comfortable and the gardens are lovely to relax in. The breakfast in the chateau is good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. For evening meals the staff puts together a nice salad or snack. It is a good starting point for a tour around the Medoc.

If nobody in your group speaks English and can translate, the tour and explanations could be a bit disappointing, as the very friendly guide did not communicate comfortably in English. If you want to have a real dinner, you really need to drive somewhere else.

Excellent stay!

Chateau, rooms, facilities, scene, staff, all are excellent!

Too many flies when we eat, haha! And should recommend guests to drive beforehand. And just unlucky that we could not visit the winery and production during wine tasting as it is harvest period.

Relaxing and quietly luxurious.

Amazing all round - the location was stunning, perfectly suited for a relaxing stay. Rooms were very comfortable, bed especially was excellent for the price. The staff made this stay surpass all expectations - Sophie and team went above and beyond at accomodating us. The food was incredible as well. Thanks guys!

Super Chateau, great staff, super stay

Beautiful location, building and facilities. Really great spot

No restaurant but the staff were excellent and provided lights snacks, bread, cheese etc when we asked. The staff were brilliant.

Perfect for a short stay - small vineyard and lovely pool. Very picturesque, but not good food.

We went to the chateau for a girls trip (group of 6) and it was lovely. Very close drive from Bordeaux, nice pool and really spacious rooms. The decor was also gorgeous.

The food was not very good at all and there are not really any options close by to go outside of the castle. The wine tasting was not very indepth.
