The Mercure Bedford Centre Hotel has a great riverside location close to the center of Bedford. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, guests (Read More)noted that the coffee machine only dispensed hot water and the rooms could be better soundproofed, with window rattling in the wind. Overall, a positive experience with a willingness to stay again.

Value for money, great sized room, great staff, comfy bed, clean bathroom.

Room was large, the bed was comfy. The carpet/windows dirty in places . The bathroom clean. Overall for the price it was good. I didnt eat breakfast Staff were good.

Prefer it to have been cleaner but that would require a new carpet

Excellent room with Riverside location, Nespresso coffee machine ,fresh milk and added luxuries of robes and slippers

A vanity light by desk was not working which made it more difficult to dry and straighten hair.

Good hotel in general

Central location, clean rooms. The shower in the room is lovely, good supply of hot water and powerful.

The room was cold, and despite increasing the temperature on the heating system, it still just blew out cold air. Would have sorted it with reception if staying longer than one night. The lighting in the room is quite poor. Even with all the lights on, it is still very dark. Thankfully, the bathroom was well lit but soon steamed up after a shower, and the extracter fan didn't work. Small things but would be irritating if staying longer than 1 night.

1. Smack bang in the middle of Bedford town, perfect location 2. Great shower 3. Great view of the embankment river , especially at night 4. Quite a large room 5. Barely any noise from traffic / hotel etc 6. Nice staff

1. Didnt like how far we were to get from the car park to the hotel room. You have to walk round or get a lift to the second lot of lifts to get to rooms from 1-8. The Lifts are tiny. 2. Didnt like that we put a sign out for change of bedding / towels but no one came 3. Didnt like the fact that I couldnt get a parking spot in the hotel one night as there was a wedding reception going on. I felt that the hotel never prioritised the guests. The car park is tiny 4. The Tv is so far away from the bed 5. Bit of dark red stain on the curtains when we walked in 6. Parking should have been included in hotel price, had to pay 15 separately upfront for (three nights)

Disappointing

The view and the space in the room

The room was cold we had to sit and cover under blankets, the heating was off at night it was hard to sleep.

Convenient location - spacious rooms

Rooms were spacious , clean & comfortable. Shower excellent.

Ground floor rooms and some noise in the corridor and on the car park outside the bedroom windows when people were coming into the hotel in early hour's.
