Superb

Lovely setting, comfy bed and nice sheets.

I paid to go into the spa but was a little disappointed there were no loungers to relax and read on. The only real option was getting in the pool as all the seats were taken.

Comfortable hotel with relaxing Spa.

The staff friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and a good breakfast. Some rooms have a good view of river, if unlucky youll have a view of building/car park.

If buying a drink after bar is closed, was asked to put credit on room a minimum of 50! Just wanted to buy 2drinks which cost 14 but they took 50 then refund the difference a few days later. Not enough parking. Priority should be given to people staying at the hotel.

Great location and ambience, more attention to detail in a few areas would have lifted my score

The hotel is in a great location. The staff were generally pretty friendly. The public areas are lovely - well decorated, high quality, and full of personality. My room was gorgeous with all the little amenities you'd expect. Spotlessly clean with a large comfortable bed and lovely linens. I got a great night's sleep. The bathroom was nice too. I feel like this would be a good hotel for couples to stay at - it has a cosy, high end feel to it. My opinion is with a bit of attention to detail in terms of not overbooking/over filling areas (spa, restaurant), making sure all the little details match he and a bit more focused customer service from the staff this would be near perfect.

Parking was a bit of a bun fight - there seemed to be too few spaces for the number of guests. The staff on reception didn't take a swipe of my card on arrival so when I tried to order room service later after showering and changing into my PJs (it had been a long day and a long journey) I was not able to and was told I'd need to go back down to reception which sort of defeats the object of room service. The breakfast buffet was absolutely rammed on my first morning so although breakfast was included in my rate I ended up going into town to find an alternative. On the second morning we did sample breakfast. It was OK. The spa is very small, it was crowded when I visited with a birthday party of very loud local women so not the peaceful experience I expected. There were too few lockers and some people were being asked if they knew each other, and would they double up - this should have been a clue to me! I had paid for a couple of hours but left after 20 mins.

Enjoyable stay, would probably consider staying again.

Location excellent, shared facilities such as lounges very good. Decor and features of hotel very attractive. Rooms comfortable, and reasonably sized.

Parking was limited and information about it poor. Breakfast was mediocre, not bad but not as good as I'd expect from a hotel of this status.

Overall we found it to be very good and would not hesitate to stay again. The service in general was

The breakfast itself was good however because it was served upstairs in a smaller room the service was not great. Tables were not cleared and reset quickly enough and the staff supervising the operation failed to rectify the issue.

The supervision of the breakfast room. No one stepped up and sorted out the issues in the room.
