Quiet, relaxing and beautiful

Fabulous staff. Big shout out to Astin, Anil, Rahul, Mega and Nilufar. Hopefully I spelt those names correctly. Restaurant staff absolutely amazing. Even got personal service from the Chef on a couple of nights when it was quiet. Beach beautiful. Pure white sand that went on for miles (approx 9 km to be exact) sprinkled with seashells. Looked exactly like the paradise brochures of your dreams. For India, very little litter also. BUT, whilst we were there you could not swim in the sea as it was too rough with a strong undercurrent; paddling only permitted. Very peaceful. If you want a quiet, relaxing, nothing to do holiday with great food then this will probably suit you perfectly. We had 10 days which was probably too long but was made to feel very special by the staff. Could not fault them at all

Okay, so the hotel is great. Lovely big rooms and pleasant grounds next to a beautiful beach. However, be aware that this is a DRY hotel, no alcohol served anywhere. If you ask the reception, they will deliver bottles of beer to your room but that is where you must drink it. Do not think that they planned to get an alcohol licence but had just been taken over so who knows. Also, the beach was fab but the beachbeds and also the ones by pool were old, shabby and generally of poor standard. Again, they are on the list for an upgrade. Pool itself is fine though. Clean and surrounded by lush palms and greenery. During our visit (Nov 23) there was also no cafe or outside area to sit and mingle with other guests, or just read a book. Other than your room or on above mentioned beach beds which are not conducive to relaxing and chilling. However, they were in the process of building a new restaurant/cafe on the beach so that facility may now exist.

The location is awesome. You get out of the room and you have your private beach.

No AC is living room. Only 2 bedrooms in Arabian Villa - 2 people have to sleep in humid living room.

good place to visit with family. kids will enjoy playing on the beach and they have a good swimming pool. distance is a

room with easy access to a private beach was the highlight. deluxe room was very spacious and comfortable. attached bathroom open to the sky was excellent.

food definitely needs an upgrade. breakfast was below average. the breakfast spread was below par. a la Carte was still Ok. tried the prawns for lunch, expected better quality and taste.

Amazing location. Courteous staff.

Restaurant, housekeeping was heavily understaffed. All 4 days it was people waiting to eat, food is finished and getting refilled after a gap of time. Linen had to be requested everyday..was not provided enough. P. S.- this review is not for staff or property or location but the management only. If you accept bookings you should be prepared to host them.

Indian Paradise

Beautiful Food and wonderful comfortable rooms. The location right on the beach is a touch of paradise. We also had a brilliant driver for transfers and local sight seeing. The boat trip is highly recommended.

The resort facilities and location is Good. The beach is Clean and we did enjoy the stay. The service is not in sync with the expectation. Extremely inadequately staffed in comparison to tariff. The place runs on trainees and not at all trained. The food is good, the facilities are above average. On the date of check out, we were told that breakfast would commence at 7:30 am. When we reached the restaurant, we were told that breakfast would start at 8:00 and and Reception staff informed that the breakfast buffet would be ready by 8:30 am. Do not see information flowing from one person to another. for e.g. we informed the previous night that we would like to check out by 8:00 am. We requested the bills to be ready to shorten the time taken to check out. When we reached the reception with the luggage the shift person was unaware and from that time on, he started getting the bills and prepare the final bill. This is not expected from a resort selling at such high rates. We spent 38,525 over the 2 days and this is unacceptable. We were informed by the Operations Manager Mr. Padma Kumar that they are extremely short staffed. The restaurant is low capacity as against the no. of rooms, occupancy. Room service takes long, no clearances done, we were told to leave the dished outside the room. We found the prev. night's dishes with insects and birds feasting on the left overs. Supervisor at the restaurant was not quite helpful. and overall service is below average. I had informed this to Ops Mgr. and he concurred.

Highly recommend

Outstanding service - the team made effort to make my mothers birthday special. Stunning views from room and excellent balcony for relaxing. Very good spa. Good breakfast. Will be back for longer stay.
