Beautiful apartment, appalling amount of dust and poor cleanliness overall.

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location. It looked as if it could have been featured in a design magazine.

We rented the two bedroom suite and the one bedroom room together (the entire apartment). The one bedroom apartment (Bank d'Arguin) was covered in a thick layer of dust. After two days of sneezing, I removed the decorative panel covering the radiators in the room and found an absolutely appalling amount of dust and cobwebs covering the radiator and floor underneath. It was clearly a very, very, very long time of neglect that lead to the amount of dust that had been allowed to accumulate. Likewise, the picture frames and floor lamps were covered in a very thick layer of dust. The final night I had such a strong allergic reaction that I was forced to sleep in another room (luckily there were two single beds in another member of our groups room). Additionally, despite being told that we would have the entire apartment to ourselves the owner and a cleaner (who was cleaning another apartment) repeatedly entered our apartment without so much as knocking. Apparently, they use the entryway to the apartment for storage and cleaning supplies. We would have happily allowed them to access it, but letting themselves in without knocking first seemed unnecessarily intrusive (especially since the adjoining door to the apartment itself could not be closed as the wooden doorjamb was swollen and deformed). Why not just knock first out of courtesy? Finally the kitchen, while very well appointed, was not very clean, as the appliances and tables were covered in smudges and streaks that look like someone had wiped things down but not really cleaned. The freezer was basically useless because it was full of ice and needed to be defrosted It was really disappointing because the apartment would have been magnificent if it had been properly maintained and cleaned, but overall our experience was not good, especially considering the price we paid.

Slightly overrated alternative to a good hotel..

Tasteful interior, the location of the apartment, instructions for check-in. Quiet place in city center.

Description of the apartment in the internet before the booking. We booked a single room with a bath within an apartment with a shared kitchen, living room and atrium (shared with 5 people altogether). Its not a hotel but a pension? We havent seen anybody of the staff during the 3 nights stay, the garbage bin wasnt taken care of on a daily basis

An experience to be repeated.

The location of this apartment is brilliant, right in the shopping centre of Bordeaux and metres from a tram stop. Parking was no problem 3 minutes away and was less expensive than we feared (40 Euros for 40 hours or so). The twin room was snug but adequate for our needs. The sofa and TV in the main room was a bonus given that the kitchen and lounge are shared with another room. We love Bordeaux and certainly would come back here.

Another seat or two in the bedroom would have been welcomed although that might take up too much space. The shower was a little snug and a bit slow to drain but it was good to have a walk in shower as well as a bath.

We loved this place, if we come back to Bordeaux, we would stay here again.

The apartment was really nice. We loved the old Vs new combo of styles. The layout was great.

The room has a/c which is nice since many in France do not, but it didnt cool well. The comforter is very heavy and no one uses a top sheet in France either - so its either no blanket or a heavy blanket and youre hot.
