Memorable.

Excellent location.

Possibly too many artifacts making it feel quite cluttered especially the antlers at the top of the house and the huge statue in the lounge. Massive talking point but just a bit too much.

Lovely warm and comfortable house, well worth a visit.

Loved the homely feel of the house, very quirky and interesting decor. Beautiful bathrooms. Very warm and cosy. Great location for walking to the beach, shops and restaurants.

The hot water was never on so we had to boost it every morning and wait for it to heat up. It should be set to be on all day. There werent enough glasses or mugs. The dishwasher wouldnt be full before wed run out.

Had a lovely time, shame about the cleanliness.

The property is lovely, very grand and an ideal location. The towels and bed linen were very high quality. We were a party of 7 and because of the size of the house we had lots of room. The garden was fabulous and the fact it was closed in made it very safe for our 3 year old.

The decor is very busy but does add to the character. Because of the amount of ornaments etc it is very dusty, lots of cob webs and overall needs a very deep clean. The kitchen was sticky, cupboards dirty and the aga had no instructions so we couldnt use it all weekend. If the house was cleaner we would have enjoyed our stay more.

Wonderful, enjoyable and comfortable

The location was within walking distance to town, beach, pubs & places to eat. but still quiet. There was a blues festival the weekend we stayed which was an added bonus. people were really friendly. The property and gardens were amazing. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for the six of us to not be on top of each other. lots of quirky furnishings and ornaments all to a high standard. would definitely stay again. we could see the sea from the cottage which was so lovely

Nothing. we did have an electrical issue on arrival but Stephen had an electrician out within 20 mins to have it fixed. TV buffered quite a bit and washing machine and tumble drier stopped working but none of these issues prevented us from loving the cottage

Few holiday homes live up to expectation. Clarence Cottage is, indeed, magnificent.

Beautiful Grade II listed building of two halves, spanning centuries. Luxury facilities and products for guests to use. The garden is exceptional. It was lovely to occupy a property where dogs are welcome, and have the freedom to roam the grounds. The eclectic decor, including a plethora of mounted antlers and a large Emre Yusufi statue, was fascinating. Maybe not to everyones taste, but if you appreciate the more is more style it will not disappoint!

Some of the bedspreads were stained so we removed them during our stay.

This property has made me look deeper into choices. The magnificent should be changed to maleficent. With some yellow ru

We liked where it was, its a steep hill but worth the views and convenience. Although it wasnt a home for comfort or relaxation.

The property to us, felt very busy. Very full, complicated. This property is not suitable for children or tall adults. And it needs a real clean! Our bedspreads were stained and disgusting, this house is cultural, different and obviously someones happy place. But not ours, its in need of some declutterring and a real clear out of dangerous objects!
