Overall, not a bad stay for the price

Room was OK. Double bed was comfortable. Fair supply of tea/coffee and biscuits.

Sofa bed and camp bed uncomfortable. Hairs found on the top of the bed. Shower poor. Not enough towels, cups or glasses for 4 people.

Superb

The hotel is separate from the pub and is set back to road, so is pretty quiet (and I stayed on NY's eve). Staff are friendly and a special mention to a chap called David who went above and beyond.

Bed, though of good size, was a little soft for my wife and I's liking but that's a personal preference. The fixtures and fittings could do with refurb.

Great in every way - would have preferred a softer mattress & pillows.

The location, impeccable cleanliness, well-stocked tea tray, free parking, TV size, storage space, shower, option to heat or cool the room worked well, very quiet, lots of plug points & varied lighting options, nice big window.

The mattress & pillows which were unfortunately very uncomfortable for me personally. After the 1st night I purchased a softer pillow locally myself, as the one provided was very hard, as was the mattress. I know this is personal preference, & the mattresses are apparently specially designed to regulate your temperature. It's a shame, as everything else about the accommodation was superb.

Good location. Good value. Free parking and reliable WiFi. Pub onsite is very convenient. Only half a mile walk to the promenade and sea front. Tea and biscuits good quality. Good tv but not fully set up with its smart functions as unable to connect it to the WiFi. Hotel fairly quiet noise-wise.

When we stripped the bed on departure there was a patch of blood on the mattress protector. Not ours as none on the sheet so this should have been spotted and changed before we arrived. Our only real gripe although there was a lot of hair in the bath plughole too. Beds overly firm for our liking and we hadn't brought our topper so skipped the last night in favour of our bed at home.
