Stunning location in the secluded Ao Prao cove on Koh Samet. Beautiful beach, great food and (some) wonderful staff. Great for a romantic getaway or quality time with kids. Amazing for surfing as well, in summer with the wind in the right direction. The Thai food at The Buzz is incredible, and some of the more senior staff clearly are very good at their job.

There are so many signs of a resort that's in decline. It has seen poor maintenance over the past few years. Gym machines give errors unexpectedly, air conditioning units don't work, some of the staff barely speak English while pre-pandemic that was definitely not the case. There just is no eye for detail - staff think that on a hot day you want "drinks and food at the same time", causing you to wait for 30 minutes to get a drink; the outside bath tub in our room was dirty and full of leaves; there were rats or other rodents crawling on and gnawing at our bungalow roof at night. They're also trying to be stingy - you have to pay for water bottles in the gym!!

Lovely stay in a fabulous setting.

Beautiful setting with sandy beach. Restaurant was excellent. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Just a joy to stay there. Loved the natural ambiance.

Convenient location and nice beach. Room was spacious and comfortable.

The staff were not very helpful and at times almost rude, which is not usual for Thailand. Could not order drinks at the pool or beach - had to walk over to the restaurant and usually wait for someone to appear interested to take our order. Food was not great in the hotel restaurants. There is a road that runs in between the hotel and the beach, which is a bit dangerous for children. After the fire shows at the hotel next door there are a lot of trucks that drive through that road - one nearly hit my son and the security guard at our hotel saw the incident but just sat there and did nothing. I would not go back - there are too many nice beaches and hotels in Thailand to waste time and money at anything sub-par.

Beautiful place surrounded by nature

Quiet location. The ferry port and the main street are on the other side of the island. There are no loud bars or anything like that nearby. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Good services. The accommodation was nice and clean. The pool area is ok. Nice sea view. The beach was right next to the hotel. Hotel guests receive a free sun lounger and towel on the beach.

The nearest shop is located about 2,5 kilometers away. Although, if you rent a scooter, then the distance is no problem at all. The beautiful bay is spoiled a bit by a long pontoon pier.

loved it and would certainly return.

lovely staff, wonderful location, excellent quality of accommodation. Things happened and arrived when you asked for them to. Terrific Thai food and very good breakfasts.

A specially dedicated bar would have a welcome addition. The Thai restaurant (at which the food was very good) was in a very modern building and a little isolated from the rest of the resort. Would have preferred the Thai restaurant to be where the Italian one is and vice versa.

A little tropical paradise

We enjoyed the peace and quiet for a few days on a beautiful island. The water was lovely and clear, surroundings beautiful and as usual, staff are a joy. No complaints whatsoever
