Overall great and relaxing experience

Great Ambience nice spa on grounds the staff were very friendly and helpful Annette and Beno were our fav! Location is close to cool beaches and local food joints! Worth the trip from the airport !

From the airport we had to wait for 2 hours for our room to be ready which was very stressful as we were jet lagged. We had to go to Paje or Nungwi beach as there are no beach activities for guests like jet ski etc

The reception and the food management team very excellent work. Everyone is soo welcoming. value for your money. The place is beautiful and comfortable we spend most days just enjoying the facilities around and relaxing.

If their is a way to notify all the workers on which room number is on half on board and who has to pay for dinner. I had to keep reminding them every dinner time and if i didn't they would include it. Other than that everything is perfect.

Exceptional

I loved everything about Le Mersenne. Breath taking. I loved the stuff especially the lady by the reception by the name Kadogo. Very welcoming. The room too. Big ,comfortable bed, clean . Definitely going back

The place is a bit far from lots of activities but there are activities there too, not much though

Peaceful stay with great and friendly staff

Stayed at the Le Mersenne Zanzibar, Autograph Collection for 2 weeks and I had a decent experience. The hotel is beautiful and very peaceful so if you want to escape all the noise this place is a top pick. The entrance is stunning and the staff on arrival were kind and accommodating. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, especially at the restaurant and bar. Will name a few Margaret, Zuhura, and gentlemen during breakfast with glasses and white socks (very cool style). David the product manager was friendly and was always ready to help if necessary. The food at the restaurant could probably do with more variety.

A few things which we think require improvement, our room flooded from the rain 2 nights in a row, so they kindly upgraded us to a villa which was huge, outdoor shower & and sitting area, mini pool, and a great view, however we had an issue with the shower. Every time we took a shower the water would run into the toilet meaning we had to kick the shower water into the drain which turned out to be chaotic. We also noticed on our last day that water from the rain had made its way into the room, so it seems to be a common issue throughout the rooms as I have read previous reviews citing the same issue The entertainment was a bit lackluster in my opinion and could do with livening up as people most likely want to dance and enjoy themselves. The hotel is quite far from most tourist attractions but we hired a car, so we got around at our leisure without spending a fortune on taxis.

The staff were very friendly from the reception all the way to the restaurant and everywhere else. Most welcoming staff

Our room had a drain issue in the bath where the water kept flooding. The hot water also took a long time to come on, over 10minutes of being in the shower. Perhaps worst of all, the room walls were very wet from what I suspect to be condensation. It was all over the walls and floors despite the air conditioner being off for hours. This consequently caused my mother to trip and hit the back of her head so terribly. Were lucky the only effect is an excruciating neck pain that doesnt go away. The fall as I witnessed, could have been very catastrophic and poses a huge safety issue with the facility.
