Disappointing

Will not be returning.

Room was adequate and that's about all I liked.

Due to Ryanair incompetance and a Italian train driver strike we ended up being 5-hours later than planned. We called the hotel to advise of this but the receptionist wasn't very understanding. Having found alternate transport to Lugano the hotel called us to say reception was closing at 6pm and our key was in a safe box. I really didn't know or expect reception to close so early. The breakfast was edible but certainly nothing to rush back for. We were also not aware that there was a night club across the road that woke us up at 3am.

Overall it is a fine hotel, i would have just expected more from the price we paid.

Location is great, room are clean

It was very noisy if you opened the window. Our room was at the corner and therefore at the junction of 2 major streets. It was very noisy starting at 7 am to about 7 pm. With the window closed it muffled the sound.

In the Heart of Lugano

Location was perfect within a block of the lake and right across the street from the bus station. You also get the Ticino ticket with your stay. However, we had to have the kind lady at the desk print it out because booking.com didn't send the voucher....until the day we checked out. It allows free public transportation and discounts to area attractions. Free breakfast was decent, mostly continental. They had scrambled eggs and barely cooked bacon available. The room was clean and had a cute little balcony.

The pillows were absolutely awful! The bacon needs to be cooked. I don't fault them much on this as most folks there don't eat it, but it was basically raw.
