Its a pleasant stay at UTO KULM

Its a car free Zone guys that means if you missed the train you cant enter to the hotel by any kind of car. So be aware of the train schedule .Good nature and calm and quiet place. They have a nice restaurant . Mr.Robin in reception is exceptional and very informative and helpful and Ms. Elena in restaurant is a welcoming and wonderful staff . Another male receptionist in night shift worked on 21/12/2023 ( I didnt get his name ) is a bad behavior person for tourism industry and a hotel industry specially front desk . He might be thinking that tourists are coming to Zurich are staying free and eating free at UTO KULM hotel. He is very rude and not willing to spend 10 seconds for a customer I think UTO KULM management has to rethink about this particular person. Again Worked on night shift 21/12/2023 at the reception.

Mixed experience. Perhaps not worth the expense?

The staff were pleasant, the location was beautiful (when not foggy), and the room was mostly comfortable. The food was delicious, if a bit expensive (but it's Zurich).

The bathroom "door" was a sliding pane of frosted glass, and it didn't close completely. If a guest required privacy, the other guest would have to leave the room. On our final night, there was some sort of function that had music blaring until 1am. My partner could not sleep because of this.

The staff first gave us the wrong information about where we would find our luggage (no one showed up at the train station near the hotel) we waited over 30 minutes for it at the train station he told us to go to. Managed to call the hotel and was told it wasnt that train station, we made our way back to the hotel Went back to the train station near the hotel just to find our luggage outside with no one there.

It was a unique stay but there there were some

We loved the location and the cute rooms. Nice view. Clean and cozy. The hotel restaurant was very fancy and had great food.

There was no AC in the room. We went in the summer so it was quite hot. Though they gave us a potable table fan. And also they didnt have a kettle to heat up water for making tea. Just a coffee machine. Its a no car zone so we had to walk up all the way with our luggage. Which was hard. If they had at the least provided hotel transportation for picking our luggage it would have been nice. Also, when we requested to take our luggage back down they requested extra money for that.

Worth the hike.

The view and the included sauna room were amazing. Bar fridge in the room. Room service staff were very good too.

The hotel needs to inform their guests that its not a short 7 minute walk to the hotel, its an up hill battle and should not be done with luggage Also, pasta is egg, flour and water it shouldnt cost 32 franc ($52 AUD).
