Stay with the room you are assigned!

I made a mistake I think by asking to switch rooms. Tilson kindly agreed to my request to find a room with a view (where after checking later booking.com clearly showed the room I'd chosen and paid for didn't have one). However the new room had a lot of problems that I won't go into here. I felt I'd already put him to enough trouble with the new room so didn't push the idea of moving back to the original room. In hindsight though it was a big mistake to switch. Lesson learned! The best aspect of this property is kind Mr. Tilson and his charming family. The coffee also was first rate!

Thank God we only had one night at this place.

Quite close to the beach.

1. There is no hot water at all in this place. Never. There is only 1 water tap for cold water. Hot water is not provided. The water pressure is close to zero. 2. In the place where the shower should be, a crooked pipe comes out of the wall. That's it. There is nothing else. 3. Very dirty. The toilet bowl was so dirty it was hard to tell when it had last been cleaned. 4. Despite the fact that I asked for a quiet room, we were given a room near the reception itself. The soundproofing of the room was not at all. Everyone who spoke at the reception could be heard perfectly in the room, as it would be spoken directly into the room. Hotel guests also came at night and talked very loudly, a dog barked at night (inside the hotel). It was impossible to sleep normally. 5. There was a glass window between our room and the corridor, from the corridor you could see the whole room and how I was lying in bed. There was no privacy at all.

Amazing value. For a very cheap price we got a nice room, AC, private bathroom, kitchen, drinking water and a super great breakfast with juices and coffee etc. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay. Easily best place weve stayed in our (so far) two month backpacking trip in the Caribbean. ~8 minute walk to the famous Macao beach. 30 second walk to a very nice and cheap restaurant.

Look else where for better choice.

Nice hostel painting and decor, breakfast was good, water was provided too and does have a community fridge is a plus.

Is in very poor taste to turn off the AC while in room when outside temperature is 36 degrees Celsius, shower water smells like sewage and it's salty, we were tired and it was late and guy couldn't find the keys, beach was not close stores close only one restaurant block away. Doo not accept card payment only cash!!
