Fulfilling stay on a budget suitable for remote working

Perfect stay if you're on a budget and you want all the freedom and flexibility in the world, definitely would recommend this place for remote working as the wi-fi was decent and stable, been able to hold calls and work remotely with US & EU. Also, Habeeb is the sweetest co-host you'll ever meet, and he accommodated us with everything we needed, including accurate information about excursions (like the sandbank one), he even cooked us the fish we caught at a handline sunset fishing session. The island is just perfect for digital nomads willing to relax on a budget, with nice enough bikini beach and snorkeling points.

Everything was good and working, nothing to dislike. Of course, don't expect 5-star hotel comfort, but at least you'll have a homey feeling. There are some small improvements that can be done for the included breakfast, like trying to vary it a little once in a while.

Initial contact with property owner was helpful. The single member of staff smiled a lot, tried to be helpful, and said "Sorry" a lot. Bicycles available, though not in good order, so my partner had to repair one before using.

Pretty much everything. Mattress poor quality and far too soft. Previous guest's old razor left in bathroom and filthy drain area. Rubbish bin in bedroom not emptied. Dreadful breakfast and flies galore meaning that we could only eat breakfast in the room, perched on the side of our ultra-soft beds I don't eat almost raw fried eggs, nor sausage, so was restricted to toast, jam and butter, but was refused a second cup of coffee. Water heater was broken so we we had no hot water at all for three days, despite promises of getting someone in to repair it. I could go on but shall refrain. We booked at short notice when there were only two properties available on Booking.Com. This was the cheaper of the two, but had a higher rating of 9.1 (goodness knows how!) What a dreadful mistake. Quite ruined our stay on a potentially good island.

The manager was amazing

Habeeb the manager was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. Rooms were nice and clean...kettle and fridge and coffee in room was also good. Also being able to use the bicycles was great.

The shower and tap water had an overpowering smell of sulphur (rotten eggs) I know it is a problem on the island but other friends didn't have it as bad as this accomodation. I also used the taps in other restaurants and it was fine. In the end I had to use bottled water/rain water to shower. The wifi was also down 3 days which was problematic when you work online
