Some staff members were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

Location allowed walking to most activities. Close to the beach and Waikiki strip.

Not quite a Hilton resort standard, needs uplifting and a bit tired. On-site restaurant can do with improvement.

The Modern offers clean, streamlined design in a superb Waikiki location.

This is one of the best locations in Waikiki, in my opinion. You are overlooking the marina, close to the public lagoon and a nice public beach, and it is easily walkable to all of Waikiki's more touristic sights. And you can even walk to Ala Moana shopping center. Yet being on the west end it is a bit quieter.

Not that there's any alternative, but the parking is expensive. Even though you could get away with walking plus an occasional Uber, it is nice to have a car, just pricey.

It was good for what we were doing, which is to break up the flight to Vancouver from Auckland.

Great size. Pretty bland decor - could use some art work. A second chair to sit in (other than the desk chair)

Lack of food options. Dining room not open for lunch or dinner. Bar food was ok, but limited. Went next door a lot.

Concierge not helpful and uninformed. The hotel was largely unoccupied yet we got a room with rather unsightly views.
