The Grand Hotel Aminta receives mostly positive reviews. Guests enjoyed the stunning views, excellent service from the staff, and the convenient shuttle bus to Sorrento. The hotel is clean with great (Read More) facilities, although some rooms could use updating. The restaurant food was praised, but breakfast had limited options. The pool and jacuzzi area were enjoyable. One minor issue was the lack of umbrellas during rain. The location is a bit far from the town center but offers breathtaking views. The only major complaint was the uncomfortable beds.

- Frequent and reliable transportation between the hotel and the Piazza Antiche Mura square in Sorrento. - There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. We used it when returning from the Amalfi coast on a Sita bus. (We probably could have stopped the bus on our way to the Amalfi coast had we bought the bus tickets beforehand.) - Excellent service in the hotel restaurant.

- The toilet in the room had a weak flush and the water thank filled up slowly for flushing the toilet again.

Memorable!

The location away from the center of Sorrento, the amazing views from the high elevation of the hotel, the helpful receptionist, the excellent restaurant and server staff, the fantastic bar with knowledgeable, friendly bartenders, the ambience of the large bar lounge with panoramic views of the Sorrento Coast and the frequent (free) hotel shuttle bus to the center of Sorrento.

Very nice hotel in Sorrento excellent service

Very nice hotel with a privileged view to the bay an the vesubio. Beautiful and spacious rooms with balcony. What we most liked was the service and kindness of the staff both at the restaurant and the reception, always willing to help and satisfy all your requirements!. Perfect location in a hill and excellent point to take off to the amalfi coast. Good Shuttle service to the center of Sorrento.

Beautiful location, overlooking the bay. We could walk every evening to the city center and at the end of the evening we had FREE pick-up organized by the hotel. Very good service!

Very nice but they need to get air-conditioning figured out... unacceptable as too hard to sleep

The hotel was beautiful & in great location... however, air-conditioning was on a shelf and could not function properly where it cooled off room properly...very difficult to sleep because was not cool enough to sleep

Fantastic hotel and place if your coming to Sorrento this is the place to stay.

The location is fantastic for great views amazing, you can also take a scenic walk from the hotel to the main strip which takes 15min, the shuttle bus service is also great which makes this hotel stay even more enjoyable. The staff all very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service, beautiful view/location and excellent food!

Breakfast was fabulous-wonderful selection! Also loved the option for evening dinners at the hotel which were very popular. Beds VERY cozy with warm duvet and foam topper. Pool and hot tub wonderful and perfect temperature. Shuttle bus very convenient and driver was excellent! Excellent service from hotel staff from porter to front desk staff arranging taxis etc.

For the cost people are paying, hotel should offer FREE gym access. Surely, with most people taking tours, this should be accessible and have flexible hours. Shuttle bus should offer 10:30 p.m. pick-up-why the gap at night? It would be nice if the hot tub was open until 11 p.m. to offer flexibility....nice to unwind before bed.
