An amazing view

The situation above Barcelona, with an amazing view from the hotel and from the room. The very friendly and helpful staff.

We regretted that the good restaurant was not open. And the restaurant was very expensive.

Disappointing

They could do better. Do not recommend.

The view from the hotel was spectacular. Its perched on top of a mountain and you are able to see the city very well from the hotel. The hotel was always clean and house keeping came often to make sure the room was always made. Food was decent, staff from dining hall was nice.

Aside from the hotel views and cleanliness, this hotel was nothing to run home about. The facilities were super outdated, including basic things like the drainage in our room. We had a leak from the shower, the sink water collected pretty quickly because it would not drain, and when i turned on the bath to take a soak the water came out rusted brown. Aside from that the thermostat in the room was ancient, and as it turns out practically there only for decoration because it did not work and was actually controlled by a main control center. When we called maintenance to come up and fix all of these issues, he said he couldnt fix the shower leak, and he understood that the leak was a hazard but he didnt have the supplies to fix that. His suggestion? For us to put 4-5 towels on the floor to catch the water leakage. The tub water he fixed by just running the water for a few mins eventually it cleared up. But i ended up not taking the bath because the rust had stained the bottom of the tub and no one even bothered to clean it. The thermostat never ended up working that night and we ended up having to open the balcony door for ventilation. It was a ROUGH night to say the least. Management really dropped the ball, they shouldve given us a different room. When we checked out and i told management (again) everything that was wrong in the room, her response was sorry i cant do anything about it now the best i can do is offer you 20% off of your deposit and mini bar consumption Sorry but that was minimal effort. For the price of the hotel they could have done much better. We were only there 2 nights and neither night was comfortable. Also if this lack of attention and dismissive reactions to complaints is during low season (writing this in December) Imagine during the busy season! Would not recommend.

Perfect for couples

The facilities.. there are 2 pools (or was it 1 adjoining pool -indoor & outdoor?). There is a Jacuzzi. Though I didn't try any of them. We spent most of our time in the very large room with a tub, separate shower and closet and ordering room service :) The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The location is quite far up on the hills. If you plan to often go into the city, then it's not convenient. But if, like me, you plan to enjoy the hotel, then this is an obvious choice. The prices for the food are bit high, but that's expected for a 5* hotel. Please note there are no other choices around the hotel as it is quite remote.

We had a really great time. Always had a smile on my face from the lovely personel in the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Staff were so great! Amazing and cool rooms and facilities. View of Barcelona was incredible

Location is a bit off the city of course and its sometimes hard to get a taxi. Pool were not heated so it was too cold or use in November.

Beautiful views

The breakfast and the service at the restaurant was really excellent. We dined at the restaurant and food was amazing. We go to the hotel every year and service was great .

Service at the reception, one of the guys I asked if the pool the water was hot and smiled in my face . Very unprofessional. Guess what, the pool was cold , the only thing working was the jacuzzi . This repeated las year also . Another thing I didnt like was the temperature in the room , too hot was not able to turn of Ac . Did not rest well. The hotel is beautiful but needs maintanance.

Amazing view

Visited 10 years ago and now again. Hotel lost ALL its grandeur. What a shame. This used to be a gem. Investment is needed to bring it back to where it was once

Wonderful stay with spectacular view of Barcelona.

I like the toiletriesLaOccitane, nice view, nice big room and washroom with separate shower and toilet. Your patio and dining has a beautiful view. Washrooms in the main floor was clean. Choices of food in buffet was great with friendly staffs.

The elevator going to the pool needs to be fix.

Stunning view, great staff, excellent hotel

What a location, sitting in the warm afternoon sun with a cold Alhambra beer overlooking the port, city & sea. Quiet ambiance with very attentive staff. Rarely have I enjoyed a hotel stay more.
