Poor

Tina was really nice and the position was great

No radiators, only electric heaters that didnt do their work great, the place was quite cold and there was no heating at all in the bathroom, making showering with -3 C almost impossible. Also, lot of stairs so beware if you have any mobility problems. The place wasnt so clean either and the room smelled a bit funny.

Very good

Thank you very much for a clean, central accommodation. The staff were very accomodating and helpful for directions and check ins. The rooms are well equipped with extra blankets, dressing gowns, and slippers which is very generous.

However, I found a personal hygiene item of the last user/owner in the pocket of one of the available dressing gowns.

Good for a one night stay

The position is really great, the room is located at the very centre of Oxford. The staff is kind and helpful

The floor (both in the room and in the common areas) was extremely dirty. In general, the room (very very tiny) was in poor hygienic condition (I found some used tissues under the bed). The locker on the door was broken, so I did not feel very safe. I booked around Christmas time (mid-december) so I was not surprised by the prices; still, I think the room was not worthy the money

Comfortable room and a very nice kitchen for use. Very central so easy to see all the sights

Too many keys and locked doors. There were 3 keys and 3 locked doors before getting to my room. Felt like I was under seige. It was inner city Oxford and I prefer being further away from city center. Very crowded location.

fantastic location for my party in central oxford

The room was a good size but not ideal that the shared bathroom was on another floor. I wasn't too sure if I was allowed to open the windows as they looked very old. The bedding had a very unusual smell, a very strong chemical scent and it made it hard to sleep.

Don't take the room at the top!

The location was great

My room was at the very top of the house, up loads of stairs and behind several locked doors. It was very basic. Toilet and bathroom on a separate floor, half of the windows didn't have curtains and the bed was makeshift - it wasn't even a proper mattress. There was no tea or milk in the room (just coffee) and there was a dirty tissue down the side of the bed when I pulled it out to tuck in my duvet. And with nobody on site and loads of things left switched on (Xmas tree etc), I didn't feel 100% safe. But - and this is a BIG but - it's location is fantastic and I actually enjoyed my stay. I've lived and worked in Oxford before and to be honest, everywhere I've ever stayed has been chopped and diced for tourists and students. I'm pretty sure there were nicer rooms available but at 80+ per night, I expected better
