It's a fantastic location in the middle of town. We could walk to many places on our list of things to see and do in Charleston. Nice historic building with its own ghosts. WAIT, they did not tell you about room 1010 ????

The bathroom was absolutely tiny. No room to leave the toiletries or to hang a change of clothes. Wrong move and you flush the toilets by mistake.

A proper hotel - a hundred years old this year! Proper old-fashioned service. Smart rooms with all modern facilities. We had two beds and a roll-away in our traditional room - the only way we could fit in 3 of us. Enjoyed breakfast. Super bar. Great location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted including the waterfront in 20 minutes.

Some confusion about the extra bed at check-in, and we had to chase. Parking should be free at this price.

A grand old hotel - a hundred years old this year! Proper old-fashioned service. So good to have a real porter bring our bags to the rooms and keep an eye on our car while we unpacked. Elegant rooms with all modern facilities. Our king bed was SUPER-comfortable. Loved the quiet little bar.

Proper glasses and cups in the room would be classier. It would also be better to have free parking as part of the room price - feels cheap to pay extra for parking when room is already pricey.

Location was excellent and lobby was very festive!

2 things: 1) A number of communications saying Christmas brunch had availability but when you try to reserve, its fully booked. 2) we booked a queen bed and when we measured it & googled the dimensions, it was smaller than a full size bed and were told its a hotel queen.

Wonderful stay in the heart of Charleston!

Exceptional Location - right in the heart of the city within walking distance of all the key sites. Wonderful staff - everyone was friendly and very helpful Exceptional food - on site restaurant - Swamp Fox - catered a first-class Christmas buffet Parking was convenient. Not attached to property, but very close with in and our privileges Value was good, considering the location.

Nothing that I Didnt like; rather, a few minor inconveniences: 1) Bed was supposed to be a Queen, but frankly seemed much more like a Double. 2) AC had trouble keeping up on the 11th floor. Room would not cool below 72. Fortunately, the window provided for fresh air and the hotel provided a fan for the room.

Could have been better.

The staff was great. Zach, the bellman, Sylvie at the Swamp Fox restaurant. Carlos, the maintenance guy. The location is excellent in the heart of King St. Great shopping. Our room was a decent size and the bed and other furnishings were fine.

The bathroom! While the shower was fine, the sink/lavatory was VERY small. Just one sink. There was barely any place to put toiletries other than the back of the toilet. Plus there was no exhaust fan. Additionally, the safe would not open with our valuables locked inside. Maintenance was able to fix it but it was a hassle. Our bill was incorrect as we were overcharged for parking every day. The total overcharge was around $112. I called the manager and the correction was made. I'm just glad I double-checked it. We will not return due to these short-comings.
