Lodge itself lovely, location lovely and hot tub was great will definitely be coming back.

The double bed was not comfortable, and the TV was very slow.

Peacefully, comfortable really enjoyed it.

The lodge was lovely clean, well furnished with little extra touches that just finished it off. We were very happy with everything.

Relaxing environment, not much to do in area

The hot tub, it was to a high standard, with the environment of ducks and trees

How close the cabins are close together, wasnt a walk about bit and couldnt see the lakes because other properties surrounding it. Didnt give anything to clean the hot tub with, not much to do around the area and difficult to get into York with no car, said a bus stop near by however was 40mins away

Beautiful location, stunning property, great comms

Very easy to communicate with. Initially after booking, I enquired after the loan of a cot for our two year old. The initial response took a few days, but unfortunately, it was explained to me that the lodge was private, so travel cots were available adhoc. On this occasion they could not assist. My partner and I purchased (second hand thankfully) a travel cot. Only upon arrival for there to be a travel cot in the property - which was rather frustrating. The property itself was beautiful, exactly as photos portrayed and in a stunning location, the locals were incredibly friendly too. My only criticism, would be on cleanliness. We paid a high price for our two night stay, as we wanted somewhere special as it was my partners 40th. What was a niggle, was the visible layers of dust on the blinds, skirting and mould on the silicone in the shower. Did it deter us from booking again, absolutely not! Would I recommend a stay for other? Yes! A beautiful property and communications, lost booking, aside from the initial blip noted were exceptional. We extended our stay to a later booking, which was seamless. The team were in regular contact in the run up, in summary. Lovely stay, great comms, beautiful setting - just a few more moments on the clean and some bleach in shower cubicle and the rest would be fine. Thank you for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location!

the showers were incredibly hot! to the point where you couldnt properly shower. the wifi stopped working after about 3 hours of being there.

Amazing lodge and site, would love to come and stay again in the future.

Beautiful lodge was immaculate inside far exceeded our expectations, beautiful living area and bedrooms had everything we needed, the beds were super comfortable, hot tub was amazing too just what we needed to relax. The site was so well maintained and friendly staff. The restaurant had great food both eat in and take away. Really happy with our stay.

The exterior decking area hadnt been cleaned for a while Id say had previous visitors bottle caps and bird muck everywhere including our first impressions into the lodge on the steps. Also the outdoor furniture we had to put our towels down before we could sit out. Its really not a criticism as we would 100% stay again but if there are cleaners doing the inside amazingly it would have finished it off if the outside area was cleaned too.
