There was a cockroach in the bathroom and some other insect. This was a bit disappointing for us. Otherwise stay was good

My room was remodeled the room was nice sized. Appreciated the refrigerator in the room.

The area is less than desirable but its not like you move the building. Its nice that breakfast is offered but if you arent there before it closes there are no other options. I specifically look for restaurants on property when selecting my hotel - when breakfast is offered at a property such as double tree, I expect a restaurant, or a coffee shops/cafe/starbucks. Anything. Something. But alas there were none. Because I didnt get the breakfast prior to closing Im assuming it wasnt breakfast but rather coffee and danish in pre wrapped cellophane.

Cleanliness of the room

Called front desk due to a group of people knocking on our door at 10pm. They stated they would send security; never heard another word about it. A little unsettling to say the least. Balcony did not have any outdoor furniture to use. Also, didn't expect a Hilton to have a list of the cost of goods in the room in case anything was stolen (stating they inventory each room at the end of each stay). Seems to me they could handle their loss prevention without insinuating that every guest is a thief.

The best hotel in Bakersfield

I love that the room was clean comfortable and had everything I needed in it I also enjoyed going to the restaurant downstairs the food was very good I didn't expect it to taste like it did

I didn't like that it's not enough elevators close to the rooms I seems like I got lost when I first checked in and walked in circles by the time I got to my room I was out of breath and tired

A comfortable pace to stay with reasonable prices, warm but efficient staff, & close to the freeway!

Loved the high quality of the linens (towels, bedspreads). Staff friendly, professional and efficient.

Found bed bug jumping on the couch in room but it was quickly taken care of with offer of new room. Some carpets need replacements e.g. back stairs. Especially for older persons, bathtubs need extra support handrails to accommodate smooth exit and entrance. (Wife almost slipped). TV choices very limited.
