The staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, are friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near public transportation, including the metro, trams, and buses. Despite being on a busy junction, the room shutters effectively block out noise. The included buffet breakfast offers a variety of options. Overall, the hotel is highly recommended for its comfortable rooms and convenient location.

Very poor

Breakfast was OK and location very good but that's as good as it gets.

The staff, with the exception of 2 were incredibly rude and unwilling to help even with a little task like trying to get a taxi. The room was dirty, especially the carpets. The towels and beds were not refreshed. There is not an option to sit and have a drink as there is no bar. They advised that there is a bar until 23.00 and when we arrived in after a long day visiting the magnificent city at 22.00 we were told that there was no drink available even though there were still people in the restaurant. This meant going to a neighbouring hotel to where we were welcomed and accommodated even though we weren't guests. We ended up simply sleeping and leaving immediately to spend our time around the magnificent city.

It is a good hotel, we chose this hotel with the criterion of parking, when we got there there was no parking, it was close but outside the hotel. Then when we went to shower the water wouldn't drain and came out of the shower, when I got up the drain was completely dirty and clogged... shame that a hotel like this is like this

The location was great, within walking distance of everything.

The room wasn't clean, the carpet in the room was stained. The hallway leading to the room was smelling awful. The breakfast wasn't good.

Great location, beautiful hotel could be better mantained

The location is perfect, accessible and easy to reach, close to the center and lots of fast food and other restaurants around. The Hotel is beautiful but it could be better maintained.

The room was not so clean, there was some mold in the shower, the safe was not working, there was no coffee/tea in the room or on the floor. I asked for hot water at 10pm to make a milk bottle for my baby and they didn't have it as the kitchen of the restaurant was closed.

Very good

Great old fashion hotel. Very comfortable beds. Large bathroom with bathtub. The location is amazing.

Bad parking situation for hotel guests. Parking garage is in the next street and very expensive.

Exceptional

Be classy, stay at the Hotel Astoria

Excellent location for exploring Budapest. The Astoria tube station is below the hotel, and comes very handy for travelling around the city. The breakfast is excellent with good selections of food. The Astoria Cafe is a classy place with good food and excellent coffee and pastries. We loved the 19th century style, and the Cafe staff is mostly men in their finest age, providing professionalism, craftsmanship and long experience. Opposite to "young cool hipsters" you find everywhere else. These fine men create a cozy and nice atmosphere, please keep them :)

A comfortable stay , nice staff although some details lacking

Traditional style in Beautiful building, nice big bedroom, location and the receptionist who checked us in, who worked evenings was such a lovely helpful lady. Very useful having a fridge.

Cleaning of room could have been better. breakfast buffet was not replenished quickly but more then likely due to hotel being very busy . Some refurbishment of carpets and wallpaper is needed. Tea coffee facilities should have been in room really.
