I like Barcelo chain overall. The location is great - close to bars and restaurants, metro, shopping streets, X-mas market and other attractions) I didn't take but if Im not mistaken there was also a bus going to the airport in a walking distance from the hotel. I like minimalistic design and colors of rooms inside, bed was comfy , towels and linen was fresh and clean) hot chocolate and some pastry in reception zone is a nice decision. Nicely decorated hall could be a photo zone itself, bravo!

Bathrobes and slippers in a room - "must have" for a hotel like that. Unfortunately SkyBar was closed during my stay , I was about to have a dinner there. And as for glass-wall/glass-screen in bathroom - it didn't do its job - all the water was on the floor( Also a bottle of water every day could have been a good thing as well. It took time for negotiations with the staff and manager of hotel to get a room I booked

Great overall, would totally recommend!

Overall really nice hotel and the staff was great! It was the first time I managed to get an early checkin for the relevant price of course,but still very helpful. Location was great, breakfast bouffet really decent and staff was really great!

If I had to add something would be that the cleaners were sometimes cleaning later, so one day we were returning to our room at about 3pm and it was not yet cleaned.

Great hotel, bad reception manger

The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city. Next to Deak square. The hotel looks new and very clean, so is the room. Breakfast was wonderful, lot of choices. Stuff are polite (except the reception manger) Generally, very recommended hotel.

We ordered a delux room which describes clearly with a spa bath in the room. When we arrived we've been told that our room has shower only. Nothing helps us to convince the man in the reception, but he promised to us that he will give us room with spa bath the next day. When we came the next day, we've met the lady who is the reception manager. She was so un polite and un halp full. She told us that she doesn't have the room which is promised us last night. And we should stay in the same room for the next 5 nights. When we complained to booking, she even lied to them telling the a room was offered to us and we refused. On the last evening, only after the intervention of booking, the offered us a compensation. It was a shame. If it weren't for the bad attitude, we would have given a score of 10 to the hotel.
