The Bunga Raya Island Resort & Spa provided a perfect, quiet getaway in September with only 11 couples present. The staff were amazing, attentive, genuine, and friendly, with everyone greeting guests (Read More). A massage by Brenda received high praise, being described as the best with perfect pressure. The resort exceeded expectations, with plenty of nature and wildlife. Overall, highly recommended and better than depicted in photos.

Fantastic staff, great facilities great temperature and excellent swimming beach.

Our stay was during a quiet few days, staff all very friendly and do what ever they can to make you feel they are only there for you. Lots of monkeys that were no trouble. Monitor lizards wondering around that are also happy to be watched.

Fab stay in gorgeous location

Beautiful location with beach at front and rain forest at the back of the property. Perfect for a relaxing break. Free activities like paddle boarding were awesome. Staff are lovely.

Unfortunately we felt dinner was over priced with things like the meat not being good quality or fresh. Everything else was great though.

This place is paradise. Heaps of helpful staff. Great food. Reef just off the beach. Lovely swimming pool.

There's nothing to possibly complain about! It's quite expensive but it's well worth the money.

Beautiful rooms, lovely location - a little cove nestled away from KK, excellent breakfast where you can order off the menu, stand up paddle boards were great fun

The first two days were perfect, then it was miserable

The beach was just amazing. All the water activities are free. The restaurant is very nice, food was delicious. Not too many people to share the resort so the environment was comfortable.

There was a big rat in our room( just beside the bed). We couldnt fall asleep all the night, and the phone was not working during the 3days, so we need to walked trough the forest at midnight to the front desk to ask help. At the night the room was full so we couldnt change our room, they sent security to catch the mouse but in vain. The towel racks and shower rack was not stable, and it didnt get fixed while the 3 days.

It needed maintenance. There were many leaking spots at the balcony when it rains and the tapestry above our bed has crumbs like thing keep falling onto our bed.

Short Gateway and Nice Location

Me and my husband travelled Sabah this year to celebrate our birthday's at Bungaraya Island Resort 3D2N. The check in was very smooth and all our luggage was taken care from Jesselton Point Jetty and straight to our room. On our arrival we received this delicious welcoming drinks rose syrup juice then we were introduced to our personal assistant. The villa's on the island are very spacious with large balconies, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. I like the hospitality and how the staff and workers was well trained, so helpful, polite and friendly. All the staff are well welcoming. Nice location with private beach. It was so nice to stay with nature around all the time. The swimming pool was good enough for kids and adults. Wildlife all around. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who needs a break from our hectic business lives.
