blue water family hikkaduwa

We stay here for whole week after 2.5 weeks traveling by Sril Lanka and we were happy to relax here. We booked whole villa, but if you are coming with friends you can share expenses. Two apartments on first and second floors a bit different but both having own benefits. For example on 1st floor there are 2 A/C units, on 2nd one, on 2nd floor kitchen cooking zone a bit bigger, on first one shower/toilet zone is bigger, etc There are few other differences as well, but in general they both cool. Kitchen equipped with all major stuff (including M/W, single burner gas stove. pans, mixer, glasses, etc.) Pool is very good and big enough (approximately at least 4*8 meters or a bit bigger). Whole territory and pool cleaned every morning (to be honest Id prefer if it cleaned not every day or in the middle of day to start morning by swim alone but if thats important Im sure you can discuss it with owner) We had on site several welcome bottle of water and coconuts (that was a first time for me to open it, so thanks for this experience too) Owner is very friendly and glad to help. We asked him different questions about Hikkaduwa and also got bike for rent cheaper than on the street. On site there is a BBQ set and additional wood you can buy from small shop close to villa or somewhere else. Villa if quite far from coastline so I assume you will use bike or any else vehicle (there is a parking area there up to 2 cars imho), otherwise tuktuk available everywhere. Villa has neighbors but bedroom has surprisingly really good soundproof so it was really comfortable to sleep and follow sun-circle. We were surprised there were no ants in the kitchen area even if we havent removed garbage instantly. What else apartments are big and comfortable to stay for long time. There is also a big washing machine and drying rack. On 1st floor on terrace there is a very well done craft sitting set. Wi-fi (using internet from Dialog operator) is good and stable (up to ~20Mb)

The house is very tastefully done up and planned, with minimal wastage of area, giving one a very spacious feel inside and outdoors. The host provides all the basics one needs upon arrival. He had even provided us with Chilled coconuts as a welcome treat ! Dasun was in Korea, but responded immediately to our calls and queries, despite the time difference. Thank you for making our stay comfortable, Dasun. The caretaker and his wife too, were very sweet and friendly. The house is a little away from the main strip of Hikkaduwa, so a vehicle is a necessity. Enjoyed waking up to the sounds of chirping birds every morning !
