Amazing, relaxing, superb.

Everyone was so helpful and the service was exceptional. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast and evening dinner was tasty and well cooked. A massive thank you to all.

Loved Villa Shanthi. The best accommodation on our 3 week trip. What an amazing property.The manager and staff were so friendly and attentive. The breakfast was exceptional with 3 choices of English. Continental and Sri Lankan.We had the English which came with freshly home cooked bread and our first taste of real bacon. We also had the best rice and curry for our last dinner prepared and cooked by the on-site chef. The location is set in behind the hustle and bustle of the main road only 8 min to the beach.Nestled in wonderful kept tropical garden with an immaculately kept swimming pool which was the best we came across on our travels.The actual building is old English with the feeling of space and grandeur from the beautiful downstairs living areas with its beautiful chandeliers and art work to the massive undercover balcony outside the upstairs rooms. It was a pleasure staying here and will surely come back.

Very good place to stay for one night or more. Rooms are very clean and confortable. Breakfast was excellent and the swimming pool is very nice and well maintained. Owner and staff very helpful and friendly.

Does not accept local Srilankhas Rupees neither visa payment, this can be a problem for long stay or for groups.

worst experience ever

absolutely nothing. The man who carried my luggage was kind.

It was by far the worst place I have ever stayed at. It has bugs and huge red ants everywhere. There was a lizard in the washroom. They had a generator for when the power cuts happened but the host specifically told me I am not allowed to use the AC because they need the generator for more important things. I slept sweaty and dirty. Mosquitos bit me all night. The mosquito net did not help. We did not have cash on us and she did not inform us that she only takes cash. She enforced it and she was not kind about it. She should have atleast informed me before hand that she only excepts cash because no where on the booking said cash only. I was not pleased at all with my stay here and was very disappointed. I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable

Villa itself is absolutely wonderful.

Villa itself is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful garden and clean room. 12-minute walk to the beach through village in the shadow. Internet is sometimes failing and latest time for breakfast is 9:30 which can be early for long-sleepers ;)
