We struggled with the food.

Nice pool, hotel beach

Except 1 or 2 restaurants, food was very poor quality. Staff was quite inattentive and had no training. We felt like were bothering them every time we interacted.

Piece of paradise if you love the beach, sun, relax atmoshere and friendly people.

Best Caribbean resort Ive ever visit and Ive traveled the world. We stayed at a junior suite. It was large, clean and had a big balcony. There are 4 pools, the beach is beautiful. The entire resort is impeccable and the hundreds of palm trees makes it look like paradise. Im very picky about the hotel I select and this is definitely a must go. I will return.

I love to walk and Im in good shape to walk a-lot, but if you dont or cant walk a-lot know the resort is very big. They do have a trolly tho.

Superb

Fabulous on every level!

First of all I will begin by saying that we staid in the Premium suite and wow it was huge! We were in the building closest to the main buffet, pools and the beach which was an excellent choice as this resort is massive and a more distant location on the property would be way less convenient. The food in the buffet was fresh and the variety was amazing! The hotel restaurants dont disappoint either! Lunch and breakfast at the Coral and dinner at La Comedieu was superb. The place is very clean and well maintained. Overall we hit the jackpot with Barcel Bavaro!

The only thing I can point out that could be improved is the kids club offer. The kids club was great but there was no program for different activities throughout the day, it was more of a free play type of thing where younger kids quickly got bored. The staff was nice but wouldve been great if their English was better. For non-Spanish speaking children I felt like there was a language barrier that made our toddler a bit lost at times and he needed us to help him communicate with the staff on his behalf. The staff felt shay to engage kids who didnt speak Spanish also.

great housekeeping great spa

horrible food, got food poisoning, hospital for 2 days, 8 days in the room, for a 11 day stay. we stood at the resort 8 times since 1999, loved way better before, the restaurants quality is getting worse and also the service is getting bad. will never come again, sorry.

The building was old, our room didn't have electricity plug in a good condition. Food wasn't really good and the food in the Japanese restaurant was disappointed (bad)

Superb

One in a Million resort

The resort we stayed at was absolutely amazing. The facilities are so beautiful and easily accessible. & my wife and I would dearly like to come again and definitely recommend it to families & friends.. The room we had was very comfortable and the facilities in the room were super.

Only walking from our room to the reception. But it was healthy for us as we enjoyed the early night sunshine walk to. Otherwise all good.
