Excellent stay at Arden House

I had an excellent two-night stay at Arden house. The room was very comfortable and clean and had thoughtful personal touches as I arrived. The check-in procedure was clearly communicated to me in advance and easy to follow. The property was well-located and a short walk from the town centre and the train station. The bed was comfortable and the room had several useful amenities. Lucie, the host, was friendly and around to help with any concerns. I had a warm and peaceful stay overall and would highly recommend this property to other guests.

It was lovely and peaceful, I slept like a log. Lucie was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, her gingerbread-granola was amazing. Lovely little touches like a Christmas card and mince pies on the bed with your robe and slippers. I wish I'd stayed all weekend!

Lovely hotel with lots of nice little touches, very clean and well decorated throughout. Very friendly owners, we had a lovely breakfast too including some homemade marmalade.

Gorgeous place to stay in beautiful Arundel

Perfect location for a weekend in Arundel. Lucie was fantastic and made extra thoughtful effort giving my boyfriend a card and gift as we were staying for his birthday. The room was beautiful.

Great location, welcoming hosts, continental style breakfast.

Welcoming hosts. Some confusion re car park there was no space on arrival, we parked elsewhere. A space was made available but we chose not to move the car (it was fine out on the main road). So the hosts did fulfil our request for a parking space but not at the time of arrival. Great location.

The continental style breakfast was pleasanttasty granola and some fresh melon. We were also offered a boiled egg each. At the time of booking I thought the continental style breakfast was an alternative to a cooked breakfast. Information in the room indicated a cooked breakfast had been offered in the past but this was not on offer during our stayso we were a bit disappointed with the breakfast. The room was quite dusty and neither of the soap dispensers (sink or shower) worked. Shower head needed maintenance.

A very good stay

Lucie was very nice and explained the history of the building. Free parking and key code, very easy. The room had everything you needed. Heating worked great, tea, coffee and water in the room also a chocolate, card and biscuits. Very clean and tidy. The continental breakfast was great, with a nice selection and great coffee. The location to the town was fantastic a five minute walk, lots of great restaurants and pubs.

We had a double bed with a hard mattress, we found this a little uncomfortable, but I'm a big fella and we are very spoilt at home! The decor is old in style but that is I guess is the charm of the old building. So although I have put these as a dislike, it's only a personal choice, for most I'm sure would be absolutely fine.
