Very good

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice buiding and nice rooms. Good parking.

Very small room. One shared toilet/bathroom for 3 double rooms is not enough.

Private Bathroom was not in the room. Not really a problem as it's just across the hall and it is not shared.

Good location and clean room.

Decent room with shared bathroom.

Staff never seemed to be around. My room key was put in the wrong drop box which required me to call to get it sorted.

Comfortable and simple

Comfortable beds and sofa. The supplied breakfast was nice (bread, orange juice, yogurts, milk and a selection of spreads, tea and coffee).

There were no windows that we could open so the room got pretty stuffy. Plus no fan or windows that could be opened in the bathroom which wasn't great.

Misleading, disappointing and intrusive

Misleading: Photos show a much nicer and cleaner place and do not make clear that there is no kitchen access to all rooms. The bathroom smells mouldy and place looks old. Disappointing: We also booked this place also because it had a laundry room, but little did we know that supervision is required to access it. You can only access it during (some of the) working hours of reception (which would mean missing out on getting to see Wellington). Nevertheless, we went there during reception hours and there was no one. We tried contacting them, only to get a response more than 1h later saying "oh you can come now". We were already out of the hotel of course. Maybe some trust in your guests would improve the experience..... it is the first place in NZ that I could not do laundry on my own. Intrusive: the icing on the cake: in the morning just before my check out, a room-cleaning man simply opened my room door, whilst I was still there!!! It was before the check out time and I was naked just 5 minutes before that. That is completely unreasonable!!!!! This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in New Zealand. And this is my first ever bad review in booking. Do not recommend this place. Some extra points: the bed side lamp did not work in my room, the paper tissues in the bathroom were not refilled in two days and you can hear the guests above you due to thin walls.
