Terrible Experience in a Sri Lanka vacation package
We had booked a 5-Nights, 6-Days trip to Sri Lanka through Tour Thirsty. The whole experience was one of the worst we've ever had among all our international trips.
- The agent switched the hotels w (Read More)hile booking, telling us they were better than what we had confirmed previously. The hotels they picked were terrible - bad, unclean rooms, non-working toilets and terrible food. Two people in our group fell sick from the hotel food during the journey
- The tour guide they provided were nice folks, but hardly knew anything about the places they took us. The only saving grace was a local food location they took us to.
- The itinerary was bad considering the long travel times between hotels leaving hardly any time for sightseeing. The local travel partners were rude and unaccommodating when we requested a change. They simply refused to make any accommodations. We ended up switching the itinerary and booking our own hotel to avoid the long travel for one of the legs of the trip.
They eventually agreed to refund a tiny fraction of the cost due to the issues we faced. That was hardly a consolation, since it ruined my family vacation to such a beautiful country. Would NOT recommend Tour Thirsty for any of your vacations!!
