Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Colombo - Transfer to Kandy
- Upon arrival at the airport, proceed to the arrival lounge.
- A representative will assist with transportation to the hotel.
- Proceed to Kandy and check in to the hotel.
- Spend the day at leisure, or, if time permits, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (by yourself). The best times for a visit are at 10 am or in the afternoon, around 2 pm.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Explore Kandy - City Tour of Kandy
- After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a city tour of Kandy.
- Tour includes visits to Royal Botanical Gardens for the famous Spice garden and Orchid House.
- Kandy is also the venue of the annual Kandy Esala Perahera. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic to learn more about the fascinating history of the region.
- In the evening, watch a beautiful Kandy cultural dance performance.

Day 3 Bentota - Day at leisure
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Bentota.
- Spend the rest of the day at leisure on the beach or exploring Bentota.

Day 4 Bentota - Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery

- Later, visit the Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery and maybe even enjoy a boat ride through one of Sri Lanka's last remaining pristine mangrove forests, the Madu Ganga River (by yourself).

Day 6 Colombo - City Tour
- After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Colombo.
- A drive through the city takes you to the busy commercial areas and the tree-lined residential Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison; Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah; the Bazaar area, where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749.
- Also, visit the BMICH and see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square.
- Check-in for overnight stay at Colombo hotel.
Day 7 Negombo - Day at Leisure
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Negombo.
- Visit Negombo's famous local market, stilt fishing, and spend time at leisure.
- Overnight stay at Negombo hotel.
Day 8 Departure
- Check-out after breakfast at the hotel.
- Proceed to airport for onward travels.

One of the hotel in Varanasi, "Vikram", the room was good, but the food was not (Read More)ok. Both of us had stomach upset, hence we had to request for change of accommodation.
Flight was booked by Spicejet, who suddenly cancelled the flight and we had to spend one more day in Varanasi. Even on the next day, the flight was delayed by over 3 hours.

The first person who is related to Yatri, Varanasi met on 20th Oct was Mr Sonu, (Read More)Driver at Varanasi Airport. Almost for the entire day through some hours of the night also he spent his time with us. As more than a driver he is a very good tourist guide. The hotels in which we stayed, from where we had our lunch or other food items all had very good liaison with Mr Sonu. More than the other persons like wheelchair walas, guides, poojaries etc. etc. he keeps very good relationship. The cleanliness in all restaurants is of high order. regularly supplied ingredient in any time food, which is not very palatable to all of us.
The food that we had from any hotel for that matter was very good except for Paneer was a regular supplied.
Overall the percentage of marks the whole set of people who provided the service was of high rank, say 80-85%. We will remember you throughout and also recommend other known tourist to contact when needed. We all wish the team of yaatri be the best tour operators in your region.
The bed materials like blankets were not of good standard in some hotel-rooms.

Overall planning was good. but execution needs further improvement. We had sligh (Read More)t hitches here and there with respect to hotel arrangements. The conveyance arranged was fine and the driver was skilled and well mannered, though slightly lacking in punctuality. The tour organisers were very cordial, polite and receptive to our suggestions. One suggestion is for the tour operator to coordinate with the hotels and detail the plans before the guests arrive so that no confusion arises at the reception counter on arrival. Overall I will give a rating of 8/10
