Day 1 Nairobi to Sirimon Gate - Trek to Old Moses Hut
  • Early morning pick-up from Nairobi.
  • Drive to the Sirimon Gate (2,650 meters) of Mount Kenya National Park.
  • Trekking expedition begins with a picnic lunch.
  • Trek to Old Moses Hut (3,300 meters), approximately 4 hours.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Old Moses Hut.
  • Breakfast at Old Moses Hut.
  • Trek through the moorland with opportunities to observe high altitude flowers, birds, and animals.
  • Trek to Shipton's Hut (4,200 meters), approximately 6-7 hours.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Shipton's Hut.
  • Begin trek at 3:00 AM to reach Trekkers Summit, Point Lenana (4,985 meters) by daylight.
  • Point Lenana is the third highest peak on Mount Kenya.
  • Celebratory photos at the summit.
  • Descend to Shipton's Hut for breakfast.
