Day 1: Katunayake to Kalutara

  • On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, Katunayake, you will be met and assisted by our airport staff.
  • Proceed to Kalutara.
  • On arrival in Kalutara, check in to the hotel.
  • In the afternoon, proceed to Pahiyangala.
  • Afterward, return to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Kalutara.

  • After breakfast, proceed to Sinharaja Forest Reserve via Ratnapura.
  • On arrival in Sinharaja, check in to the hotel or camping site.
  • Overnight stay in Sinharaja.

  • After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
  • On arrival in Nuwara Eliya, check in to the hotel.

  • In the early morning, proceed for an excursion to Horton Plains.
  • After the excursion, return to Nuwara Eliya.

  • Drive around the hill station viewing Lake Gregory.

  • At the tea factory witness the process of manufacture of tea from plucking of the green leaves to packeting of the processed tea.
  • Afterward, continue the drive to Kandy.
  • On arrival in Kandy, check in to the hotel.
  • Afterward, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kandy.
  • Visit the Temple of the Tooth.
  • Drive past the premises of the University of Peradeniya and visit the Market Place, and an Arts & Crafts Showroom.
  • Then drive along the Upper Lake road to get a panoramic view of Kandy Lake.

  • Late in the evening enjoy the Kandyan Cultural show at the Kandyan Arts & Cultural Centre.
  • A visit to Gadaldeniya, Embekke, and Lankathilaka could be arranged on request.

  • After breakfast, proceed to Dambulla.
  • En-route visit a Spice Garden in Matale.
  • On arrival in Dambulla, visit the famous Golden Rock cave temple.
  • Afterward, check in to the hotel.
  • In the afternoon, climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
  • See the famous frescoes of the “Heavenly maidens” of Sigiriya in a sheltered pocket of the rock and the 10-foot high Mirror Wall.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Dambulla.

  • After breakfast, proceed for Polonnaruwa.
  • Visit the Vatadage, the Thuparama Image House, and the Gal Vihara.
  • Afterward, proceed to Colombo.
  • On arrival in Colombo, check in to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Colombo.

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
