Day 1 Arrive in Guwahati - Transfer to Shillong
  • Arrive at Guwahati Airport, a representative will be there to greet you.
  • Drive to Shillong (from Guwahati Airport 120 Km/4 Hours).
  • En-route visit Barapani Lake for some Water Sports Activity (a nominal fee is required to be paid).
  • On arrival in the evening check-in at the hotel/guest house. 
  • The evening is free for leisure.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.
  • After early breakfast depart for Cherrapunji.
  • Enjoy a pleasant drive to see waterfalls & gorges.
  • Cherrapunji - The wettest place on Earth offers roaring waterfalls, limestone caves, a living root bridge, & galore of water & adventure activities.
  • Visit the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls & the Mawsmai cave & Thangkharang Park.
  •  En-route visit  Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls.
  • In the evening check-in at the resort in Cherrapunji.
  • Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
  • After breakfast trek from the resort to Nongriat village to the two-tier (or Double Decker) Living Root Bridge.
  • The trek to this double-decker is tough and will take approximately three hours down a very steep village path through forested areas.
  • On the way, you will pass through four other smaller living root bridges of various shapes and sizes and a traverse across an iron cable suspension bridge hovering above 45 ft above a chasm of a roaring waterfall.
  •  The trek is hard, certainly not for the faint-hearted but the exhilarating experience is well worth it.
  • Enjoy swimming in a natural swimming pool and also your packed lunch.
  • In the evening return to the resort.
  • Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
  • After breakfast start a 2 hours drive to Mawlynnong. 
  • Mawlynnong is situated 90 km. from Shillong.
  • The village offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of Banlancing Rock -a boulder balancing on another rock.
  • Depart for Shillong.
  • On arrival in the evening check-in at the hotel/resort.

What's Good: We recently traveled to Assam and Meghalaya with the help of Safar Panda, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. I sincerely appreciate the effort they put i (Read More)nto organizing every detail — from the hotels and rooms to the cab and the driver. The driver Britu Das was extremely friendly and made our journey smooth and enjoyable. Special thanks to Mr. Ujjal and Mr. Amit, who coordinated everything so well. They were always available and supportive, and even when we requested last-minute changes to our itinerary, they accommodated us without any hassle. They went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience and ensured we covered most of the key attractions. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed and executed as planned. The hotels arranged by Safar Panda were top-notch — clean, comfortable, and located in great areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food provided, especially the breakfast, which was always delicious and well-prepared to ensure we started our days right. Overall, the entire experience was more than worth the amount we paid. We felt well taken care of, and I can confidently say that any customer booking with Safar Panda is sure to have a memorable and enjoyable trip. What's Good: We were on 6N/7D trip to NE, tour was planned in short notice Monadipa was very instrumental in planing out our itinerary, whole team was always available during the trip on WhatsA (Read More)pp/ Phone call.
What's Not Good: We liked everything on trip specially the trekking part to Double decker root bridge and blue lagoon lil further from double decker bridge, lil tiring but will recommend every one in good health to cover up these destinations once in life time
