Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Guwahati - Transfer to Cherrapunji
  • On arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, you will be greeted by a representative who will help you with the transfer to Cherrapunjee.
  • En route to Cherrapunjee, stop at the Umiam Lake(Barapani) and the Elephant Falls.
  • Romantic room décor with flowers and a honeymoon cake.
  • Check in to the hotel at Cherrapunjee and rest to relieve yourself of the stress from the travel.
  • Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
  • In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast. 
  • Proceed to Tyrna Village, the starting point of the Nongriat trek. 
  • On the way, stop at Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls.
  • Reach Tyrna Village later in the noon and trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge (Nongriat) with a local Guide.
  • Climb back 3000 steps to Tyrna village, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you to Cherrapunjee.
  • Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning.
  • Depart Cherrapunjee for Dawki Island, a magnificent island in the Jaintia Hills. The Umngot River passes through the village, making it attractive.
  • You can also opt to indulge in different activities, such as Boating, River Rafting, Kayaking, Cliff Jumping, Etc., at an extra cost.
  • Candlelight dinner in Shillong
  • Reach Shillong in the evening after spending a great day at Dawki.
  • Overnight stay at Shillong.
  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning.
  • Then a representative will pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at Guwahati Airport/Railway station in a private vehicle for your return journey, bringing the experience to an end.

What's Good: We had an awesome trip to Meghalaya. Thank you, Hemant, for advising on a good programm, for quick response times, and organizing nice accommodations. Also our driver Maznour was k (Read More)ind and we felt safe with him. We enjoyed Maznours repertoire of Bollywood songs on the road. The program was great with a good balance of activity and free time. We enjoyed hiking in the nature. We go home with many beautiful memories. Thank you!
What's Not Good: Minor suggestion: It would be helpful to add in the program description at which places swimming is possible to be able to pack swimwear in the morning.
