Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or pickup from your hotel, begin your scenic journey to the iconic Masai Mara Game Reserve. The drive takes you through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley before reaching the rolling plains of the Mara, Kenya's premier wildlife destination. After check-in at Enkorok Mara Camp, enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Explore the vast savannah as you track the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos—along with countless other plains game. Return to the camp for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 2 Full Day at Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, spend the full day on safari exploring the wonders of the Masai Mara. The reserve is home to over 450 species of animals and offers spectacular wildlife viewing, including cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and hyenas. If you're visiting between July and October, witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration. For a unique experience, you can opt for an early morning hot air balloon safari (at an additional cost of $450 per person), offering breathtaking aerial views of the wildlife and landscape. After a thrilling day, return to Enkorok Mara Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Exploring the Land of the Big Cats

Start your day early with a morning game drive, giving you the best chance to witness wildlife at its most active. Enjoy a picnic breakfast as the sun rises over the savannah. Visit key sites such as the Mara River, home to hippos and Nile crocodiles, and other scenic locations including Talek River, Sekenani River, and Sand River—famous for their role in the migration. Capture stunning photos, guided by your expert safari guide who will enrich your experience with local insights. After a fulfilling day, return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Masai Mara - Mombasa via Nairobi Terminus

After breakfast, check out from Enkorok Mara Camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at the Nairobi Terminus, board the 3:00 PM SGR train to Mombasa, a comfortable 6-hour ride. Upon reaching Mombasa, a driver will transfer you to Southern Palms Beach Resort in Diani, where you’ll check in and begin your beach holiday.

Day 5 Leisure Day in Diani Beach

Spend your day at leisure exploring the beautiful Diani Beach. You may opt for snorkeling or diving excursions to explore coral reefs and vibrant marine life (at an additional cost). Relax on the white sandy beaches or take part in various beachside water activities.

Day 6 Adventure and Wildlife in Diani

Today, you can continue enjoying beach activities like swimming and kite surfing, or opt for an excursion to Shimba Hills National Reserve. Located nearby, Shimba Hills offers a chance to see Sable Antelope and elephants in a lush forest setting (optional, at extra cost).

Day 7 Cultural & Marine Exploration in Mombasa

Immerse yourself in Swahili culture with a visit to Mombasa’s Old Town, or explore the marine biodiversity at Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park. You can also enjoy sunset dhow cruises, horseback riding, spa treatments, golfing, or dolphin watching—available at an additional cost.

Day 8 Mombasa - Nairobi

After breakfast, check out from the resort and transfer to the Mombasa SGR Terminus for the 8:00 AM train to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi by approximately 2:00 PM, where you'll be transferred to your hotel for the night. Early the following morning, you’ll be dropped off at the airport for your homebound flight, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure.

The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
