Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Leh - Visit Leh Market and Shanti Stupa
- On arrival, pickup from the airport and transfer to hotel.
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before 9:30 AM.
- Later, acclimatize yourself with the low atmospheric pressure because of the high altitude of Ladakh.
- After lunch, visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Day Trip to Sham Valley - Alchi Monastery and Sangam
- After breakfast, drive to the Alchi Monastery.
Alchi is a 1000 years old monastery which is the only one situated on flat ground. - Enjoy packed lunch on the way.
- Thereafter proceed to the Likir Monastrey.
- Visit the splendid three storeys Dharma Wheel Gompa.
- Drive along the Indus and Zanskar rivers Sangam.
- Next visit Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity), Basgo Palace (can be reached by hiking only) and further on to Leh Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia).
- Overnight stay at the hotel at Leh.
Day 3 Leh Local Sightseeing - Monasteries and Palaces
- After breakfast, drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45 kilometers west of Leh.
- Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh.
- From Hemis, drive back to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley.
- Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk.
- After that, continue the drive through series of chortens.
- Visit Shey Palace, 3 Idiots School Campus, Sindhu Darshan.
- Overnight stay at the hotel at Leh.
Day 4 Transfer to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
- After breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (the world’s highest motorable road).
- By afternoon arrive at Hundur.
- After lunch, you are free to explore Diskit and Hunder villages.
- Enjoy a camel safari in sand dunes between Diskit and Hunder village.
- Overnight stay at camp/ resort in Nubra Valley.
Day 5 Explore Diskit Monastery and Transfer to Leh
- After breakfast, visit Diskit Monastery which is 515 years old.
- Drive back to Leh by same route, crossing Khardung la Pass.
- Reach Leh by afternoon.
- Spend the evening at leisure.
- Explore the Leh market.
- Overnight stay at the hotel at Leh.
Day 6 Pangong Lake Excursion - Scenic Beauty via Chang La Pass
- After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake through Chang La Pass.
Chang la Pass is the third highest motorable road. - Enjoy the spectacular beauty of the lake.
- Drive back to Leh b the same route.
- Overnight stay at the hotel at Leh.
Day 7 Departure from Leh
- After breakfast, drop to Leh airport to catch the onward flight back home.

The first person who is related to Yatri, Varanasi met on 20th Oct was Mr Sonu, (Read More)Driver at Varanasi Airport. Almost for the entire day through some hours of the night also he spent his time with us. As more than a driver he is a very good tourist guide. The hotels in which we stayed, from where we had our lunch or other food items all had very good liaison with Mr Sonu. More than the other persons like wheelchair walas, guides, poojaries etc. etc. he keeps very good relationship. The cleanliness in all restaurants is of high order. regularly supplied ingredient in any time food, which is not very palatable to all of us.
The food that we had from any hotel for that matter was very good except for Paneer was a regular supplied.
Overall the percentage of marks the whole set of people who provided the service was of high rank, say 80-85%. We will remember you throughout and also recommend other known tourist to contact when needed. We all wish the team of yaatri be the best tour operators in your region.
The bed materials like blankets were not of good standard in some hotel-rooms.

It is really memorable tour with Travel fun unlimited.
Tour was well guided, with a nice comfortable vehicle and a cooperative driver. However, hotels given at (Read More) some locations were not up to the mark.Overall we enjoyed the tour package guided by Travel Fun Unlimited and looking ahead for future tours.

We had a great during the trip. Planning and itinerary was perfect. There were a few mishaps like a cancelled train trip which is out of the control of Indian (Read More) Travel Waves but Venay handled it very well and we were put on a flight very quickly that we did not miss a beat. On the whole it was a great trip. The two drivers that was provided for the trip were both excellent and went above and beyond what was expected. I would recommend Indian Travel Waves and especially Venay our travel agent to whoever is planning this kind of trip.
