Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
  • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
  • Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest.
  • Attend a briefing session and orientation about the Yatra.
  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
  • After breakfast, go for a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.
  • Visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples in Nepal, located on the banks of the Bagmati River.
  • Explore Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world and an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists.
  • Visit the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its ancient palaces and temples.
  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
  • After breakfast, take a domestic flight to Nepalgunj, a city in the southwestern part of Nepal.
  • Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest.
  • Attend a short orientation session about the upcoming helicopter journey to Kailash Mansarovar.
  • Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.
  • Early morning, take a helicopter ride to Simikot, a small town in the remote Himalayan region.

Special thanks to Harry for allayi (Read More)ng our fears and going out of his way to make the trip smooth and hassle free. Good vehicles, polite and knowledgeable drivers. Well planned sightseeing areas. Good hotels with hygienic rooms and decent buffet breakfast. Overall decent and safe stay. Worth the price.
What's Not Good: Being clubbed with a rowdy group of men for an island boat trip. But I guess that wasn't in control of the trip planners. Getting an uncomfortable mini bus for Pattaya to Bangkok journey with ineffective cooling

What's Good: Good hotels at great locations. Pick and drop from hotels made the whole trip seem easy. No need to pay for any attractions so we saved some cash for shopping. I would recommend sp (Read More)ending a little extra and get a private vehicle instead of shared one though.
What's Not Good: The hotels were a little old but all the hotels, beach and shopping area was walking distance from them so it's ok.
