Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Paro Airport - Transfer to Thimphu
- The distance between Paro Airport and Thimphu is 65 km and would be covered in approximately 2 hours.
- On arrival at Paro Airport, meet with smiling faces and transfer to Thimphu.
- Upon reaching Thimphu, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the night at leisure.
- Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 2 Thimphu Sightseeing - Transfer to Punakha
- The distance between Thimphu and Punakha is 85 km and would be covered in approximately 3 hours.
- Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get picked up from the hotel, tentatively at 8:30 AM, for local sightseeing as listed below.
- After completing all the sightseeing, you will transfer to Punakha. Upon reaching Punakha, check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the night at leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 3 Punakha Sightseeing and Transfer to Paro

- After completing all the sightseeing, you will transfer to Paro.

Day 5 Paro Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) Hike
- Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest):
- It is one of the most famous monasteries in Bhutan, perched on the side of a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley floor.
- It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery, which is why it is called "Tiger's Nest".
- This site has been recognized as a sacred place, visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646, and is now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime.
- On April 19, 1998, a fire severely damaged the main structure of the building, but this Bhutanese jewel has since been restored to its original splendor.
- Guests will have ponies available for hire to trek to this monastery.

All arrangements were excellent — a clean and comfortable car, premium 4/5 star hotels, and two wonderful tour guides, Mr. Sonam and Mr. Siddharth.
The guides were highly knowledgeable, considerate, and genuinely warm. During the 5-day trip, I learned a great deal about Bhutan’s history, monarchy, political and administrative systems, culture, traditional attire, food, and Buddhism. Sonam and Siddharth explained everything patiently and in great detail, making the experience both insightful and enjoyable.
A special mention to the beautiful candlelight dinner curated exclusively for us — it was thoughtfully arranged and added a truly romantic and personal touch to the trip. We also had an amazing karaoke night with the guides, which was incredibly fun and made the entire experience feel even more warm, friendly, and memorable.
