Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Srinagar and Transfer to Sonamarg
- Pickup by our representative from the Srinagar airport.
- Drive to Sonamarg.
- If time permits, visit Mughal gardens and Shri Shankracharya Temple at Srinagar.
- Reach Sonamarg and check-in to the hoteL.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Sonamarg.
Day 2 Sonamarg to Alchi and Leh
- After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed toward Leh.
- En route pass through Lamayuru, Kargil, Drass and Zozila Pass.
- Drive further to Alchi.
- Here you can see the monastic complex of Alchi comprising of many shrines namely Lha-Khang Soma (New Temple), Sumstek (Triple storied shrine), Dukhang (Assembly Hall), Lotsava Lhakhang, Manjushri Lhakhang (Temple of Manjushri), Three Chhortens (Stupas).
- Enjoy packed lunch on the way.
- Stop by the Sangam (confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers) at Nimoo.
- Then visit the Hall of Fame and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib.
- Further, visit the Magnetic Hill.
- Arrive at your hotel in Leh for dinner.
Day 3 Leh Monasteries Tour
- After breakfast, proceed to visit the Indus Valley Monasteries.
- Start with Shey- the ancient capital of Ladakh, and the Sindhu Ghat.
- Then visit Thiksey- an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village.
- Proceed to Hemis- one of the grandest and popular monasteries.
- Lastly, visit Stok Palace- the present residence of the royal family.
- Return to the hotel for lunch and dinner later.
Day 4 Leh to Nubra Valley
- After breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (the world’s highest motorable road).
- Upon arrival, check-in the resort/ camp,
- After lunch, visit Samstaling Monastery.
- Enjoy your evening at the campsite.
- Dinner and overnight stay at camp/ resort in Nubra Valley.
Day 5 Nubra Valley to Leh
- After breakfast at the camp, proceed to visit the Diskit Monastery and the Sand Dunes at Hunder.
- Enjoy a Bactrian camel safari at Hunder.
- Later, drive to Leh via Khardung la.
- Spend the afternoon at leisure or take a walk to the local market.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 Leh to Pangong Lake
- After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake through Chang La Pass.
Chang la Pass is the third highest motorable road. - Enjoy the spectacular beauty of the lake.
- Upon arrival, check-in at the camp near Pangong lake.
- Spend the evening at leisure.

Day 7 Pangong Lake to Leh
- Spend the morning at leisure and stroll by the lake.
- Later, drive back to Leh and check-in at the hotel.

Day 8 Departure from Leh
- After breakfast, drop to Leh airport to catch the onward flight back home.

Things which were good.
1. View from manali hotel was amazing.
2. Natural beauty in jibhi stay was amazing. You will not even feel to go out.
3. Our trip man (Read More)ager used to ask everyday if we have any issue. This was very good.
I would say it was a perfect trip.
Few feedback for next time improvements so we can opt the same agent again.
1. Breakfast: Tea & breads can't be considered in breakfast. In jibhi stay, there were having 4 options for breakfast. 2 options were always unavailable otherwise we need hike for 100 meters to eat them. in rest 2 options, 1 was local dish Siddhu. My family couldn't like it much as they were eating it first time. And the last option was bread.
2. Meal options: In jibhi stay, there were limited option for meals. And it was difficult to know what is paid and what is included. We got to know about that at last day when we were leaving. At least milk for baby must be included in breakfast.
3. Tree house: bathroom floor slope was opposite side. no ventilation fan in bathroom. no window with net, and gaps in floor wooden planks. In result, insects in bed.
In Manali, everything was good. But we were expecting that as the weather is cold there and we cant hang towels in balcony to get dried they should have changed them every day. Same with bedding. It should be changed at least once in 2 days. We stayed for 4 days there.
Drive was experienced so we were pretty confident on his driving and less worried when he was fast. But for a AC car we were expecting that the AC should be on in sundar nagar like areas where car is not ascending on the mountains. However, he finally switched on AC in chandigarh that was a relief for us.
