Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Depart Nairobi for Masai Mara
- Early morning pickup from your city hotel.
- Board our jeep and head to Masai Mara, with the first stopover at the Great Escarpments for a photo session.
- Continue the 5-hour drive to your camp.
- Check-in and have lunch at the camp.
- Spend the afternoon relaxing.
- Depending on other guests’ hotels, agree on a pickup time for the afternoon game drive.
- Enter the park at 4:00 PM and search for zebras, antelopes, giraffes, elephants, and lions.
- Return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 Full day at the Masai Mara
- After breakfast, depart for a full day of game viewing.
- Spot the Big 5 Wildlife and other animals.
- Drive to the banks of the Mara River to see crocodiles and hippos.
- During peak season, witness the Wildebeest Migration and possibly the river crossing.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch.
- Drive back to camp, stopping to take photos of any animals not previously seen.
- Spend the evening relaxing at the camp.
Day 3 Massai Mara to Lake Nakuru
- After breakfast, check out and head to a Maasai village for a cultural tour.
- Learn about the local community and interact with villagers.
- Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, with lunch en route.
- Arrive in the evening, check in, and relax.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru.
Day 4 Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
- Early morning breakfast and check out from the hotel.
- Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive.
- Visit the Rhino Sanctuary to see Black and White Rhinos.
- Stop at Baboon Cliff for views of the park and to spot flamingos and birdlife.
- Exit the park and drive to Naivasha, with an on-route search for more animals.
- Arrive in time for a late lunch.
- Check-in at the hotel and have lunch.
- Spend the afternoon with a boat ride at Lake Naivasha and a walking safari at Crescent Island.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 Lake Naivasha - Amboseli
- Morning game drive at Hell’s Gate National Park, with an optional cycling tour (own account).
- Visit the gorges and scenic parts of the park.
- Exit the park and stop for lunch (own account) on your way to Amboseli.
- Arrive at your camp, check in, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Day 6 Amboseli- Full Day
- After breakfast, drive into Amboseli National Park for a full day of game viewing.
- Spot large elephant herds, buffaloes, antelopes, and abundant birdlife, including pink flamingos and Egyptian geese.
- Return to your camp for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 7 Amboseli- Nairobi
- Early morning breakfast and drive to Nairobi, with a stopover for shopping.

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect.
Reasons
1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp.
2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality.
3. James is very knowledgeable.
4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious.
5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details.
6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it.
7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

Everything went smooth and was detailed. Communication was flawless. The experie (Read More)nce was seamless and well organised. Our guide Ben was fantastic and knowledgable so we feel we made a friend in Kenya too. James was superb in helping us plan the trip and with suggestions for stay. All in all it was such a special vacation and I can’t wait to explore more of Africa. People are great ! So warm and friendly and what a truly blessed country with so much nature and wildlife. I would highly recommend Wild Portraits and James and Ben for your travel to Kenya.
please be careful while entering the country at immigration - make sure your pas (Read More)sport is stamped. We had some issue with this. Can’t complain about anything else. It was beyond our expectations.

The responsiveness of Christine (person overall responsible for arrangements)and (Read More) knowledge from Evance (our driver and guide for national parks)about national parks was excellent.
We stayed and covered Nairobi, Masai, Naivasha and Daini.. All stays and safaris were perfect could not have asked for better.
We chose Van but we think land cruiser would have been a better option especiall (Read More)y for being comfortable in muddy terrains.

After screening and talking to about 5 travel operators, I decided to go with Na (Read More)ture Romp for an 8 day safari in Kenya. Their rate was competitive and selection of lodges to stay very good. Initially I was skeptical due to less reviews about Nature Romp in public domain. However when I talked to Yvonne, I understood that theirs is a fairly new company and decided to go with them. We (my daughter and I) opted for a private tour covering Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli. We were received at the airport and the next day Yvonne, Lucy and Maxwell (guide cum driver) welcomed us at the hotel, early morning of the Safari start. We instantly felt at home and from then onwards it was a memorable trip. Our guide Maxwell is an excellent guide. He knew about birds and animals, their behavior and diligent in driving. He was always on time.
Nothing in particular. Only one stay (at Naivasha) could have been closer to the (Read More) national park. It was nevertheless a good place but not great for bird photography
