Day 1 Welcome to Wayanad
  • On arrival at Calicut airport/railway station in the morning, our representative will greet you and take you to Wayanad.
  • On the way, have breakfast and move to Wayanad just 58 km from Calicut, a wonderful experience.
  • Lofty peaks, gurgling streams and luxurious forests add magic to the journey up the winding roads to Wayanad, the land of spices and hills.
  • Check in at Hotel/Resort/Homestay.
  • After lunch, visit Wildlife Sanctuary, have a safari
  • Back to accomodation and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast leave for Soochipara waterfalls, It is a three-step waterfall of more than 200 ms in height with a fantastic scenery. Enjoy water-rafting, swimming, and bathing in the pool below.
  • Leave to Edakkal caves have lunch from Ambalavayal. Edakkal caves are pre-historic caves lies 12km from SulthanBathery Two caves are located at a height of 1000 m on Ambukutty Mala near Ambalavayal.
  • Back to accomodation and overnnight stay.
  • After breakfast, leave for Kuruwa Island, a vast island of 950 acres abundantly rich with green forest. It is very far from the turbulence of city life making it an exotic place for visitors to relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature.
  • After that leave for Banasura sagar dam, have a speed boat ride, enjoy the sunset
  • Back to accomodation.
  • After breakfast, check out from accomodation
  • On the way to Calicut you can visit the famous tourist spot Pookode lake
  • Reach calicut enjoy shopping at S.M street famous for sweets
  • Visit beach and drop off to railway station / airport to board for your onward journey

Overall planning was good. but execution needs further improvement. We had sligh (Read More)t hitches here and there with respect to hotel arrangements. The conveyance arranged was fine and the driver was skilled and well mannered, though slightly lacking in punctuality. The tour organisers were very cordial, polite and receptive to our suggestions. One suggestion is for the tour operator to coordinate with the hotels and detail the plans before the guests arrive so that no confusion arises at the reception counter on arrival. Overall I will give a rating of 8/10
