Exceptional

Truly a Zanzibari private paradise

Excellent personally curated food (we're vegetarians) and drinks. Staff are exceptionally warm and attentive. All events are so personally done and yet give you a slice of what Zanzibari and Tanganyika culture is. Rooms are amazing, especially the ocean view villas - which had (for us) 3 different private beach access routes, plenty sunbathing spaces, and a private pool. An in-resort jungle running / walking path, outdoor gym, jetty for sundowners and snorkelling from, a very intimate spa and prepared excursions. Managers, especially Julia (/Yulia sp.), supported by Nivot, Alexandra, Mudi, were excellent.

Disappointing

Not what we expected

The view from the jetty was nice, New Years party was enjoyable. The rooms were clean. Their soups were amazing!

Deceiving, the beach was a sandpit, not a proper beach. The staff and service were very slow for a 5 star resort. Not the place if you are scared of insects there was a centipede in our room which they were unable to catch. The food was average and the place was very quiet, if thats the vibe you like then its good, there were no activities to keep us occupied on the resort unfortunately.

Excellent for privacy and relaxation with a great sunset view

Staff was amazing Food menus and service Spacious private villa with pool Landscape and walk-around Sunset

Beach was the key disappointment as there was barely some sand, we only walked on rocks with the kids to see some crabs, no swimming. A bit slow on food service and some items were not available in the menu.

World-Class staff, stunning location and the 5-star-details that make the difference!!

We stayed in the Villas and the private pool with beach access was an absolute dream. The staff is world class and I dream of my return to the Zani Resort! Great food from their incredible chef and the staff was a standout highlight during my time in the region. 10/10
