Fantastic facilities and space for our family to enjoy our stay over. Kind and helpful staff. Great surroundings and places to explore.

The self-catering kitchen was a little cramped with not enough washing-up facilities compared to other YHA.

Lovely location, unfriendly staff

Beautiful location. Chance for full escapism.

Staff were rude. Think theyve all been on the same training course aimed at helping them to be supremely condescending and obnoxious. Example - turned up for breakfast which wed pre-booked and the guy serving said a name would help rather than simply asking (like a normal human being) if he could take our name. Very odd. The breakfast was also awful and the kitchen kept running out of hot drinks.

Brilliant stay

Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms/beds and such a lovely, well priced stay. We loved being able to go on beautiful walks locally, the breakfast was fabulous and the staff were all so friendly.

Amazing building, fabulously updated keeping its original charm

The only thing I can think of was the smell of diesel as you go down to the self service kitchens.

Very friendly receptionist, who was working on her birthday.

Very cold corridors and no central heating working in our room. (An electric heater was eventually provided. Broken window in the bathroom. Not great when it is below freezing.
