    Overall a very good and memorable stay.
    The layout of the rooms and the way the entire hotel is designed and executed. Very friendly staff and very easy check in process.
    Hotel was such located that it did not have the views the destination deserves.

    Location was great. We could walk to the town, to Periyar National Park ticket counter / entrance. It made for a really easy stay. The staff was fantastic. Really lovely, helpful, and made our stay even better. A couple of times they got out of their way to help us (like packing us breakfast the night before when we had to leave really early the next morning). Breakfast was white yummy and probably the most varied we have seen in hotels we stayed in India so far. And really yummy. Western and Indian options. Meal options were reasonably priced for room service, and they have a bar onsite so you can get alcohol delivered to the room as well

    Room smelled damp. We opened the windows to air out but it didn't work. We probably could have asked for another room but didn't. I'm sure staff would have helped. Bed wasn't the most comfortable - but I guess that's personal.

    Hotel is overpriced - this hotel is definitely not 4 star. Rooms are in dire need of maintenance and cleaning. We had 3 rooms booked and each had an issue, mould in one, blocked drains in the other. There is also constant noise and clutter from staff.

    Value for money stay, few minor problems
    Very reasonable price, good rooms and facilities in room. Value for money stay for a nice property with pool.
    Location is difficult to access at the end of a residential area. Views from the windows are of someone's house right next to us, so difficult to keep windows open due to privacy concerns. Pool is nice but there is no proper changing rooms or towels. Breakfast was OK but limited options, no breakfast buffet when we went.
