Superb

A beautiful hotel, which is perfect for any romantic getaway.

As an old building it was decorated sympathetically, it was comfortable, homely yet classy.

A few things needed a bit more attention to detail. Someone had spilled a drink and it had gotten dirty so stained, the bin had not been emptied from the previous occupants, we had no bottled water our first night, the shower heads looked as though the washers could have been replaced. Although this did not detract from our stay.

Fabulous setting, great food, super helpful staff

We were there for a wedding - food was absolultey fantastic. The staff were also very friendly & the hotel setting is stunning.

The only downfall was the bed in our room, it wasnt comfy at all.

Superb

Just about everything. The friendly staff, the atmosphere, the food and the comfy bed.

The glass window looking into the swimming pool and facilities. You had to book Charlie's Bar even if you only wanted to go for a drink.

Fabulous location. Very helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Great relaxation room in the spa

More modern accomodation block is tired and needs attention. Skip outside spa entrance, broken pane of glass on floor by skip. Rattling torn fascia under the guttering made a noise through the night keeping me awake.

Fabulous, just a couple of things to make it even better

Horel was beautiful, in a stunning location. Styling and comfort were fabulous. Our bedroom.was very large, with a gorgeous view across the lake. Massage in the Spa was amazing. Breakfast had a great range and was well-cooked. Portions were generous (too much for me tbh!).

There is no signage to Reception from.the car park - we had to ask for directions. The newly- refurbished spa was beautiful, but has no showers and none are being built.
