TRYP by Wyndham Pittsburgh/Lawrenceville is a unique hotel with a great location and wonderful staff. It is situated in the Lawrenceville neighborhood, close to restaurants and attractions. The rooms (Read More) may be a bit quirky, but clean and well-stocked. Some guests found the road noise to be a minor inconvenience. The barn-style bathroom doors don't provide much privacy. The hotel bar can be heard in some rooms, but only during waking hours. Overall, the location, cleanliness, and helpful staff make it a good choice.

My friend was in from outa town & checked in before I was done with work. Someone from hotel staff (not housekeeping) used staff key without knocking & came into room while my friend & her boyfriend where laying on bed waiting for me. No apologies from her & thankfully they were not getting changed or anything else. That is completely unacceptable & sent complaint to hotel & got no response.

Rooms were a bit spartan and utilitarian, especially the bath room. Rooms were small.

OK despite the items listed above.

The location was close to my daughter's house, so it was good for me. The hotel is a refurbished school and had interesting decor.

In the first room they gave me the door to the toilet, which was a sliding barn type door, keep sliding open. The second room the fan in the bathroom ran constantly, with no way to shut it off. The staff was competent, but not especially friendly. No smiles. One of the valet car parkers could figure out how to release the emergency brake on my car and I had to be called from my room to help him.
