Disappointing

Sort out the mess that is the Sun Inn

The rooms and bathrooms were lovely and very comfortable

The location and the fact there was no staff to check in, no pub or meals on offer. We felt for Sarah who was left stranded with no chef or cleaning staff. Running a hotel single handed is impossible

Very interesting, comfortable and enjoyable

We travelled for a one night stay on Saturday 2nd December 2023 on the way up the snow came in and we had to abandon the car about 2 miles away. As you can imagine we werent the only ones. Once we got to the hotel we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Many people were arriving hoping to get a room due to the weather. The landlady Sarah went out of her way to accommodate everyone starting with those who had children, then the elderly. Once the rooms were full anyone still waiting for a room was made as comfortable as possible with duvets, pillows, tea and coffee etc. This was despite the fact she was doing this on her own as her partner was stranded in Hawkshead due to the weather. Id recommend the Sun Inn to anyone who wants a friendly honest place to stay.

Comfortable and cosy!

Good location, not too far from Windermere and Boweness. Nice size rooms, comfortable, cosy and everything you need. Lovely pub with good pub food and friendly staff who even gave our little pup some chicken that was going spare!

It was nice and clean. Very nice location as well. I recommend it if you want a place to stay around Windermere.

Everything was good and will definitely stay again. However, there was a little bit of road noise from the room facing the road.

Room was excellent. The check in staff tried their hardest but a useless check in system left us hanging about for ages.

Very clean, beds very comfortable bar area very good

Just seemed totally unmanned at a certain time of day. Which it was. We had a lot of rooms booked within our party for a wedding so we thought we could meet downstairs and have a coffee etc. no, all locked up. Wed already need told that although breakfast was included that the cook hadnt turned up and thered be no prepaid breakfasts. Absolute amateurs. The room was brilliant our complaint is with the clueless owners.
