    The StarLux is a slightly dated property but offers a retro style and a range of amenities. Some guests experienced difficulty reaching the hotel by phone and had to wait at the counter, possibly due (Read More) to reduced staffing. However, it was considered a good last-minute value option with clean and comfortable rooms. The location was convenient, within walking distance of the boardwalk and near activities such as mini golf. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and well-decorated, although slightly small. Overall, guests enjoyed their stays at the StarLux.

    WAS my fav hotel , but now I am not even welcome
    I love this hotel. Staff for the most part are friendly. Terri is exceptionally nice - she kept the place open until midnight and was so pleasant to talk to. I have great memories at this hotel since I felt safe with a good male friend of mine and we had one of the greatest days of my life there at Starlux.
    Being locked out and harassed by the Wildwood police after repeatedly explaining I suffer from severe trauma. I did not have my phone and another night I had to pull the firealarms because it was impossible to contact staff. Not everyone has a cell phone plus their sign was down with their # on the door. They forbid me from returning to Starlux. As a mentally handicapped individual, the way I was mistreated by Bob and Brennan, I say good riddance. I was supposed to have 2 free nights coming to me, which I never had the opportunity to enjoy.

    The price and the 50s pop look.
    Just...meh. We stayed in a room on the street side, which opens onto the second floor walkway. In think the suites are probably better for the 50s pop atmosphere. Our room had a bit of that decoration but was more bland. The room smelled like it had been doused in bleach. The room was mostly clean but there were some spots that seemed dusty. I know it was off-season (December) but you'd think that would make things better (less guest turnover to deal with to get rooms ready).
