    Great hotel but avoid 2 bedroom apartment if your a light sleeper or ask hotel for a quieter room
    We stayed in the 2 bed apartment which was lovely! Very comfy beds and large room close to the town.
    Anyone who is light sleeper will have trouble sleeping as room is right next to a level crossing that goes off all night as freight trains run through Ballarat. The hotel does provide ear plugs. My kids and I slept fine but my husband did not sleep hardly at all the first night. Other rooms I am told are quieter.

    Very enjoyable stay in a wonderful boutique hotel, near everything told need in Ballarat.
    Allowed us to check in late, which was very helpful. Very east to get in after hours. Beautiful amenities and toiletries in the room. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very spacious.
    There wasn't anything that we could fault in our stay, loved it!

    Perfect bed and shower. Get the breakfast!
    The two things you need when traveling for a work function are a soft, comfortable bed and a strong, hot shower and The Provincial Hotel scores top marks for both. A quiet, perfectly located hotel with excellent amenities and an exceptional restaurant on site in Lola. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
    The only improvement would be a better way to block out light, especially given there were no windows in the room, just a frosted glass area with shutters that I couldn't close due to my height.
