Orchid Manali is located in Suru on Naggar Road. It's far away from the mall road and the old manali where the crowd moves in the evening, but mall road and the near by places are to crowded during tourist season. Infact orchid is situated at a quiet place from where you can enjoy the serene view of Entire Manali. Although I would rate orchid as a five star property but the boys of Orchid be it Room Service, Reception, Resturant and chefs all of them make this property a 5 star property. All of them have the right attitude towards their work are very helpful, promptly do the work told to them and honest. The rooms are big just like the way u want when u are on vacation with family or friends. The rooms are clean some of them share the exceptional view of the entire Manali. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The food is excellent even though, I didn't like the menu selection at Dinner but the chef come out and make u comfortable in every way. Traveling to any of the Famous Cafes from the hotel would be difficult as there are no local autos available on the Naggar Road side and u have to call for local cabs and they charge u a bomb. Cafe Fat Plate is just 1km from the hotel and is the best Cafe in Manali in terms of food. If you have your own vehicle it would be great and now that the new express way has been built its pretty easy to reach Manali for private vehicles. Overall I would recommend The Orchid Manali it's a very very nice place with the right people working with them, each and every person is helpful, honest and hard working.
